I miss those days when instead of Price, we said CALL ME for Price! LOL

That's one thing I like about posting in Facebook. The price is display via the Desktop, but not on the Mobile. Hence people would need to click on to view the price, but at least I get an extra hit to my site!!!

Nope - NEXT!

I don't follow old-school practices.  They used to swear by it: give them a reason to call the agent.  Not any more it doesn't.

I never click through I simply Google the address and see what REALTOR.com says it's priced at. The days of hiding asking price are OVER!

I think the price should be as easy to find as the address ... in the old days (pre 1995) agents didn't show either because they wanted the get the phone call so they could capture the buyer.  I say, just give me the information. Otherwise, I sense "what are you trying to hide?"  Too much hassle, I click and move on.

If the home is listed, it is easy to find the price...but do I really care that much when I am killing time looking at the internet?

Because:

1) They are trying to get leads of interested buyers to call them so they can grow their database and hopefully sell them this house.  My guess is Dual Agency is alive and well with them.

2) This isn't a home currently for sale and they're simply building their database.

In this market, if it appears to be a home my client might be interested in then I would most certainly call and ask about the price or if I know the address or neighborhood, I might look it up. However, I think it is a bit silly to leave the price off these days. If I don't have someone interested I would skip it.

If I saw an ad online and there was no price, I'd click once to see what the price is. If I then am asked to sign on or something without yet seeing the price, I would move on.

Have to agree with you. Many agents years ago used to think that was a good way to pull in buyers by having them call for the price. With me personally, I wouldn't bother with that agent at all.

If they don't mention the price, maybe they don't know what it is worth! Or, maybe they do and the asking price is much higher! So unless it is the only thing I can find, NEDT!

I would have a strong interest before a click through. I do not want automatic emails from the agent.  Just Google the address for the price.

The measure of an ad working is not whether is annoys someone or not.  If fact, sometimes annoying ads work better. The measure of an ad is how much it sells.  Sometimes it's better to include the price.  Other times it's not.  In general, I don't care if my ad irritates someone.  I care if it sells the product it was designed to sell.

Now more than ever, we can measure how well ads work.  You can't tell how many people look a t a postcard.  With the internet, you can tell how many people click.  You can tell how many call.  You can run A/B adds and test it against the ad with the price.

Your opinion of the ad, or anyone's opinion of the ad, is irrelevant.  What matters is how well it works.

Hi, Georgie

I picked up a real estate magazine from a rack in Asheville, North Carolina the other day.  In the middle was a four-page spread with NO PRICES on the houses.   If I were a Buyer, I would just turn the page and move on.

I would move on and find the price elsewhere all over the internet. All the big search engines will usually have the price if it's a listed home. In this day and age there is no reason to not post the price.
