I don't think the purpose of setting a goal is to claim failure when you make a mistake.  Part of the purpose is to get back on the right path when you start to veer off.

It's like those alligator strips that they have on the interstate.  If you doze off and run over them, that let's you know right away that you need to get back on the path.

Take more vacations - and am on one in New Mexico!  Flight was delayed getting out of Central Oregon, but we are here now at a very nice resort.

I do not waste my time on making a New Year's Resolution.

If change needs to be made, if goals need to be set, if improvements are required...whatever is needed...why would I wait until the New Year to implement improvements?

I don't make "resolutions". I do have some things I want to accomplish this year and I will.

Whoops.  I have not slipped on that one yet, Annette. 

No resolutions for me.  I am committed to doing my very best each and every day. So far, I'm good on that. 

Others not so much. My plumber did not show up today as scheduled. No call. Nearly 3 hours later, he knocks on my door. No one died. No one was harmed. My morning was turned upside down. All is well once again.

I avoided failure by not having any resolutions. I have used 2022 a number of times but those senior moments may occur at any time.

I have learned to live those beliefs & in the doing of that tweak as necessary. There is no failure but instead a pleasant learning curve...so satisfying

Age has its privileges; I forgot!

Resolutions are wishes, I set goals that must be accomplished in 30 days, 60, 90 days throughout the year. I do not get after it with them all at once. I schedule my goals throughout the year for better follow-through.

I incorporated changes in my business plan but, refuse to call them resolutions! LOL

Yes. I make and usually keep my resolutions. My easiest resolution this year is to wear more jewelry. Not to buy more but to wear more. I stopped wearing earrings with all the mask wearing, but I'm wearing them again as well as necklaces and rings. Jewelry wasn't made to sit in a box. Happy New Year.

No resolutions. Just goals that I'll put into action.

So far so good.  Sun comes up each day, haven't had to jump in my chariot to help pull it up yet.

I only keep track of successes.

Mine are in track this and every year since i first made one.  It is the same, I shall make no New Year Resolutions.

I don't make New Year's Resolutions and it seems most of the respondents don't either. Hopefully you'll get a response from someone who actually makes them.

And haha about writing 2021 after resolving not to.
