Rentokil Initial, from its Special Disinfection department, carries out a complete sanitation service for air Exertion systems, either as an Emendatory measure after the internal environmental quality assessment and diagnosis service or individually in response to requests from our clients.
The objective is to clean and extract the dirt of microorganisms, dust, fungi, and remainders that accumulate inside the tubes and in the ventilation and air conditioning equipment without causing damage to the structure of the system.
Duct cleaning is critical in terms of diseases related to SEE (Sick Building Syndrome). Still, it is also necessary to solve blockages in extractions and low yields in the general system.
Our service is composed of different phases:
• Internal inspection of ducts
• Cleaning of air conditioning and ventilation ducts
• Cleaning of diffusers and grilles
• Cleaning of Air Treatment Units
• System disinfection
• Technical report of results. Conclusions and recommendations
All actions are based on the protocols included in the following Regulations:
• UNE-EN 100012 Hygienic Maintenance of Air Conditioning systems.
• STANDARD UNE-EN 15780: 2012 Ventilation of buildings. Ducts. Cleaning of ventilation systems.
Interior duct inspection
The technical inspections in interiors of air conditioning or ventilation ducts are carried out utilizing a specialized robot. This equipment consists of a small guided vehicle with a dual camera and an integrated high-definition screen.
Access to the duct is done by introducing the robot through the diffusers or grids or by installing a manhole in it. The technique used is by the UNE 100012 standard.
This Examination makes it possible to certify the internal hygienic state of the duct as well as to locate potential leaks or foci of pests.
Cleaning of air conditioning and ventilation ducts
Within the different duct cleaning alternatives, Rentokil Initial will propose the three widely accepted and recognized efficacy methods in a unitary or combined way, included in the UNE 100.012: 2005 and UNE-EN 15780: 2012 STANDARDS. These systems are carried out with specialized equipment with the most current technology on the market.
• By mechanical brushing system.
• By aspiration with contact.
• By pressurized air utilizing a nozzle system with a chamber.
Duct cleaning by brushing system
The process consists of cleaning the ducts using mechanical brushes adapted to the shape and size of the vents, all accompanied by the force of the suction. The brushing action is continually exerted in the opposite direction to the direction of the vacuum cleaner to drag the most significant number of particles towards it.
The Rentokil-initial brushing system consists of an automatic centering device to achieve more effective and uniform cleaning.
To increase the effectiveness and quality of the cleaning operations, internal isolation measures are carried out that increase the vacuum and the aspiration performance and prevent the transfer of pollutants from one area to another.
The aspiration will be carried out with special collector equipment with HEPA filtration.
Duct cleaning by brushing is carried out both in air conditioning systems and in dust collection or extraction ducts that are susceptible to being clogged. This seal can be of different types depending on the industry's activity: flours, sugars, fats, fumes ...
Duct cleaning by compressed air system
The compressed air cleaning method allows treating porous ducts such as fiber without damaging the structure.
The blowing equipment consists of an intelligent hose with a chamber propelled by the action of the air in the duct. The head is equipped with a camera that will record the entire cleaning process.
This equipment will be connected to a high-performance compressor.
