I would not. I want someone else to deal with all the work. Also, sometimes it helps to have an agent to create some distance. There is a reason that negotiations are often done through lawyers and it's not always because their legal expertise is necessary.

If I was inclined to sell my home and leveraged it in a pocket pool there are significant upsides to that, especially in this market.

I would try to sell to someone I know or through someone that knows someone that I know but would never publicize a home for sale and not paying a commission to the buyer's agent. I have never taken a listing that would not pay a buyer's agent a commission. I personally feel that doing so is abuse of one's real estate license.

I had sold several of my own properties myself, prior to entering the real estate business. One sold for the highest price in the building ever. It is one of the reasons I got into the business in the first place. I don't know if I would ever be able to trust another agent to sell my home now if I'm being completely honest.
