    Newly adjusted plan:

    A very large snapping turtle just crawled out of our pond.  When it saw me it jumped back in.  I never thought they came this far north, but after checking the State Wildlife website, yes they are here.

   A snapper can be mean if cornered; their bite can be severe.  So my plan is to remove that turtle from my pond ASAP!

My youngest son is spending Aug with me, before he heads back to school in Eugene. This is his last week here, so we are just planning on doing a few things we have not done yet. Today was a round of golf. First time in 15 years I've been on a golf course. Had a good time. Next a hike in the Mt Hood National Forest. Also, lots of time just kicking back before he heads out. And finally getting him packed to head back to Eugene on Fri. He has to be back Fri so he can umpire a baseball tournament n Eugene over the weekend.
