Because you mention Halloween, I want to say it'll be a "spooky" market... but the reality is "more of the same". Low inventory, high demand. Some lowered prices or more reasonable price targets to begin with. Maybe a hiccup as power hungry politicians try to enforce lockdowns and masks again... but who knows if the people will even tolerate another round of that.

I find that the market is always what I decide to make it, if I work hard the market is great, if I dont then it is not so great.

Based on Dr. Lawrence Yun, Barry Habib and Buffini & Company it's going to be more of the same with the exception of lower month over month growth...but still growth. Supply still under performs Demand and ability to buy with cheap money and refi's just got cheaper 08/01/2021!!!
Fannie and Freddie announce no more adverse refinance fee!!!
Ultimately I create my own economy and have thrived in the multiple offer spikes, the big crash and the pandemic...you get what you focus on.

More of the same... relatively low rates, low inventory, continued buyer demand.

The LAST QUARTER of any year is my busiest season for CRE, historically and CV did not change that, in fact it stepped it up.
Residential ALWAYS second quarter of any year, so if it's a home we list it in mid February.

The market here has been one driven by low interest rates, inadequate inventory and changing social norms due to the pandemic. I don't expect much change. Buyers are becoming weary of rising prices and the bidding wars. Yet...there is an amazing amount of cash out there.

I am hopeful the supply lines will begin to open up more, especially with lumber and building materials. Current costs associated with these products are causing hesitancy among home builders. That is keeping pressure on existing home prices to remain high, since new homes aren't being created to contribute to housing inventory.
My prediction, is once more states curtail the extra $300 payments atop current unemployment benefits, more folks will have incentive to return to work. And, hopefully, that will aid supply lines.

There are so many factors beyond out control right now that I wouldn't hazard a guess. But regardless of what I think, all we can do is adapt and adjust as the market changes so I choose to focus on the present and what I can control.

There are a significant number of houses that will be tossed or can be convinced to be in the market as Homes for Sale, when the eviction moritorium expires this month.
If one has a buyer with high hopes, get them to pay their agent a retainer then pursue these opportunities.
Meanwhile, the DOM has been creeping up but sellers are not budging on their hopeful list prices. It is of interest to note %discounted reveals the list price has a component of tue speculation.
Although that season is statisticly slower the significance is statistical only. In Florida the only slow season is accompanied by 70 MPH zepher breezes.
In the end we all discover, "It will be what we make it."

Low inventory. People generally don't want to list their house between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I suspect we'll see the same. I do see builders picking up the pace so we might have more new construction action. We start to see more action mid January - mid February. If we have the inventory I think we'll be very very busy then.
