The concern has been brought up multiple times with management. To date, it's never been considered a violation. The posts are real estate related and do not violate community standards.
You can run the filters to Following, or use the category filters to try and avoid the mass posters, or just click the Next button until you find content that you want to read.
Not the answer you want to hear, but for now, that's the answer.

I'm 100% behind the petition to limit the number of posts that a person can put into the main feed in a given day (e.g. 20 max). It is a simple solution, after you hit the max count in a day, then they only show up in the secondary (category) feeds (not the main feed). I'll keep pitching this idea as we get airtime with HQ.
Meanwhile...
Your "following" feed is the only way around this. As I mentioned in the zoom call, this is a little bit broke but is an easy workaround. When you go to "following" from your drop down menu, the filter is not automatically selected as it should be (Pending bug fix). So you have to click on the following radio button to activate it. But when you do, you will be glad you did (i.e. getting to the blog posts of people you want to see instead of roboposters).

I cast my vote on this issue many times. The vote does not seem to matter. There needs to be a limit.

Hi Rocky... I've complained about this for a long time and I'm not the only one. It's truly beyond words. I'm at a loss as to why Active Rain doesn't ban this practice. Maybe we need to get a petition going.

ActiveRain needs a BLOCK USER feature.
ActiveRain needs to LIMIT the number of posts in a row.
But it appears that is never going to happen... so go with Craig Daniels solution.

Is this someone new? I've never seen anyone do reblogs?
If it who I think it is after going back & looking - we've tried for years & nothing is done.
This particular person has 167,700 posts. Why not get your own Wordpress site? Oh, probably because they would think someone is spamming & shut it down.

Did you ever see someone in a "10 Items or Less" check out line with more than ten items and the cashier and/or store management says nothing?
The retail establishment does not want to alienate a customer. Of course, the people in line may be angry, but not enough to stop patronizing the establishment. Luckily most people play by the rules so the store doesn't have to act.
Apply that to the robo-blogger. If it is occasional then AR will let it go. If everyone did it, then they would have to crack down on it.

Anyone else tired of having to go through 20 pages of one person's posts just to get to the posts we want to see?

Am 💯 with you on this one Rocky Dickerson! I posted and quickly looked for it in the blog roll and several pages later, there it was buried among the robo poster postings.

Yup, the robo-posts are the same ones everyday, AR says it is not against policy but it stops readers from scanning blogs when you see the same postings page after page, day after day. Totally support maximium post limits per day.

Easy enough to skip them. Wouldn't say it's "selfish" either, it's just their business model. You have a couple that robopost a couple hundred at a time and one that does hundreds per week, but 5-10 an hour.

Actually, the way to get it fixed is to make it worse.
25 of us need to robo-post 400 blogs every day. Duplicates would be excellant.
Clearly 'reasoning' does not work.

Obviously a newbie, on a learning curve with the mindset of more is better....All the big retailers and anyone who has garnered experience in dealing with people learns at some point about the dynamics of quality not quantity....

It is not up to us to "weed out" the marketing activity of a competitor. Smacks like coming too close to anti-trust activity for my taste and I would not take part in any such effort.

A different business "style" or not, it's quite annoying. I would be in favor to be able to BLOCK that robo-poster if I so choose but should be an invividual choice.

Some folks are here to promote their business, others to visit, I support both of their objectives.
What we need is better filters to bring us to the posts that we want to see.

I tried signing in and got the error message that ActiveRain was overloaded by visitors and couldn't load correctly. When it finally loaded for me, I saw the blogs page was filled with posts from the same person. There were so many, I gave up scrolling to the end. They all said "Posted 1 minute ago". I have to say it's really in AR's best interest to limit posts. It's hurting the functionality of the site.

Hi Rocky Dickerson ..I totally agree..400 blogs by one member is ridiculous! 20 a day as max!
