Hi, thanks all for the YouTube Thursdays suggestions. And, also Andrew Mooers | 207.532.6573 has a series of posts explaining some of the technical aspects to ensure videos get more views. Be sure to look for those.

Good question. I have no clue (or views to speak of), so will be reading Debb Jane's posts too!

Now supposedly it is the largest search engine. I have no advice as I've basically got no exposure. What does get exposure (views) are community posts showing off the area.
There is a new agent in my area that just gets in his car & drives around then posts. Not bad - but not really good either. He has plenty of views but is that business?

Steven Nickens ... Your success on a video channel powered by YouTube is make believe you are out in the audience. Gear your videos toward buyers and sellers watching and listening to your videos. If you forget the audience, if you only do a video on every blue moon, crickets happen. Dust and cobwebs cover your video channel. The biggest critics of video if you check have no or very anemic, neglected video channels. Your question, how to get great exposure on YouTube? Remember the audience and your reach, frequency will lead to more views, more listings, more sales.

First and foremost, be sure you have quality content. Be sure that the first 10-20 seconds are worthwhile. If you ramble around for 30 seconds, then get to the real content, you've already lost them.
Second, ask people to like and subscribe videos. Tell them to leave comments. Say it in the videos, "If you enjoyed this video, please like and and subscribe..." or "leave a comment about which tip you found most useful"
Third, respond to their comments. On some channels, people will ask questions in the comments and no one answers them.
Also, focus on the titles of your videos. Name the video what people will google. For exam, I have videos about prelicensing material. My best vide is the "Top Twelve Tips for Passing the Florida Real Estate Exam" That's a lot better title than something like "Karen Climer's Dirty Dozen" - you can't tell what that is unless you know me or and know what I do.

I embed my videos in a post that has relevant keywords. Share the videos on social media - yet have a purpose for doing so - with a call to action.

Just like blog posts, you can post just about anything as long as you do it frequently.

Hi Hella, There is a effective way to approach Youtube, I have sold properties off of Youtube. Looking for more of a technical angle to step up ratings.

I presume anything and everything helps for name recognition. But I've found that I'm getting business by being much more targeted. Here on the Monterey Peninsula you have to be a serious player and have the listings and sales to show for it-- and not look desparate by plastering your face and name on everything.
