It could be from the huge email data dump that was released a day or so ago.
I will sometimes like a post and not comment ... for example, a market report or if I am simply without words.

Views, likes and comments do not necessarily go hand in hand. And recent changes the other day seemed to have cause a mass of notification emails to be sent to many - they haven't been happening.

I have never paid attention to views. Comments are appreciated and acknowledged. They are often a result of active participation.

Kathleen Daniels, Probate & Trust Specialist nailed it. The other day my box was full of the emails that had not previously been flowing.

No comments does not mean no engagement. The stats for a post tell a different tale. Ever see a Q&A question asked ... say like how to beef up my Instagram or whatever social media platform that's just looking for helpful tips? And those who do comment say "I don't use Instagram" one after another. That does not help to contribute anything worthwhile. And a few go on to say it is all a waste of time that don't use that platform and chide the Q&A poster. Reading those thread comments and knowing the platform does work can make you hesitate from wasting time debating the merits or offering helpful tips Beth and Richard Witt .

Views are eyeballs (human or search engine) that load the page. Comments require someone to have something of value to say.

You have made a great obseration that prompted you to ask a vivid question.
Views suggest traffic, lack of engagemnet means lack of content relevant to the readers needs.
The Readers Needs is kinda tricky since we simply don't know.....or do we?
Here in the AR Q&A section you will get 15 to 30 responses becuase participants here have a need...and that need is to be helpful. Your question presented an opportunity for us to be helpful.
In the blog I read, you did not create an opportunity to meet my need. You did drop some knowledge and encouragement but that was not sufficiently energized to make me raise my hand.
The easiest way to create engagement is to START with a problem that resonates, a possible solution but end it with a question or solication for specific comment.
For example in your 'LOVE" blog you should have shared a personal 'love revelation' and asked others to share their heart so readers can be encouraged.
BOOM! Now that touches everyones NEED to be helpful. Everyone's need to break the barrier of isolation and lonliness. To accept the invitation TO BE SEEN.
However, you will have an OBLIGATION to acknowledge every respondant. I suggest making the acknowment MORE beneficial than the blog. This creates a reader growing expectation that results in what one really wants, website stickyness. When stats show reader are hanging out for minutes, that means they want an reason to reach out.

Some click on the title then move on. Others click like and move on and then there are those that read and leave a comment
