Our market took a pause almost a year ago when it was struck by confusion over what impact Covid-19 would have. The market was and is typified by low inventory and strong buyer demand complemented with low mortgage rates.
The market came off the Covid induced pause and continues to be very strong.

It is still strong with inventory at all time low. Just recently heard that a home received 49 offers. Mine was 29 and thought that was crazy already.

The market At Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia coontinues to be very strong. Our market is definetly a severe seller's market with low inventory and high demand from buyers due to low interest rates and the folks staying at home to work.

For the two years prior to pandemic enterting daily life, the Maine real estate maret was already going full throttle. Then the lever on the on the property listing carousel got pushed beyond full speed to warp five. Inventory selling faster than shelves get restocked. Local banks, attorneys, agents and brokers have been working like an ER triage round the clock shifts since back in March.
"Maxium overload" is how Uncle Sam during WW2 labled how we all should pitch in and do our part. It's an edgy, anxious fast paced market like musical chairs. Of now you see it, now you don't because it's under contract headed to another closing. Short supply in certain housing segments is spurring building if you can't find it. Land sales of acreage and just lots are thru the roof. Just about the time building material prices take a hike higher. Supply and demand 101.

We are seeing almost everything going to multiple offers in our local are. Infact, many homes, listed for under $400,000 are receiving 10-30 offers. Very much a sellers' market here since late 2019.

Yes, very much so. . . . but we are very low on inventory -- we need more homes and condos to sell in the Salt Lake Valley
