Thanks, Caroline Gerardo. Since we are in the high-cost S.F. Bay Area (Alameda County) I think our limit will be what you have displayed, also. 

It is often a number that becomes a regular part of speech for some real estate agents.  

I heard they were just raised......so happy about that.  They needed to as our market keeps going higher and higher

I am sure they are up in most of the country.

been pretty high in Greene County GA for years.

Ours is $548,000

Not a big issue for me in retirement but heard the limits were raised.

Which lender is this the max limit for?

For some of our clients it is more about what their personal limits are, and for others enough cash is available to alleviate any concerns about lending limits.

For Essex County MA we are at $690,000 max FHA for a 1-family home.

I keep up with that via my favorite loan officer.

Is that to avoid jumbo loan rate? If so, that's good. I'm in Westchester County NY. It look like ours is only 548,000 or so. It's a step in the right direction, but still feels low.  Even my mortgage from 15 years ago was higher than that.

Where does 822,000 come from. I sure hope people can get loans for higher than that as that's around the avg price in my area.  I mean I get that the loan may be 20% lower due to deposit and I get that people can buy w/ cash.
