No not on a regular basis either in our home or homes on the market. Typically homes for sale aren't loaded down with extra appliances  and are neatly tucked in a pantry.  As for us we have surge protectors all over the place & with Gary being an electrical engineer I figured he's got it covered.

We don't unplug anything unless we are going to be away for a month or longer. When we do unplug it's for a combination of safety and energy consumption.

Nah, I don't unplug anything. Right now, I'm in my office looking around, and my (digital) piano and lamp are plugged in, my other lamp and computer are plugged in, my stereo and TV and modem are plugged in and my printer is plugged in. That means I have 7 potential energy suckers in this one room but I'm not concerned.

PS - My electric bill last month was something like $80. Which included not only all my plugged in stuff but my heat and A/C, electric to the shed, etc etc.

If I was going out of town and remembered, I'd unplug small appliances, but normally, nah.

I read somewhere that 'ghosting' I think it's called still costs you money. TV's plugged in that no one ever uses still uses big bucks electricity.

mostly unless it's an item that charges... electric razor, toothbrush, or something that needs to be plugged up.... alarm clock... I don't unplug the tv though.  Use that too much.

The only thing I unplug regularly in my home is my coffee pot.  Why? I cannot say I have a logical reason. 
I rarely leave for long enough periods of time to unplug other items. 

I always leave my refrigerator running

I do in the kitchen, the appliances I don't use regularly.  The coffee pot stays plugged in.   I used to unplug the TVs, but takes too long but hard to reach plugs.  I know they use a lot of power, even when they are not on.

No, nix, nada. My electric bill is under $50 per month every month. Everything I use stays plugged in all the time. Yes, I could lower the bill by plugging and unplugging but the savings is not worth the time.

I only unplug stuff when I'm not using it.  TVs and such never get unplugged unless there is the possibility of an electrical surge due to the transmission lines being worked on.

I unplug the expensive or indispensable when leaving for extended times or when I know power interruption is eminent.
The local power company is known as Florida Flicker & Flash. If one does not protect their stuff they will keep getting lots of new stuff.
The 'puter stuff' is supported by a regenerative UPS and remains on 100% of the time. The ring door bell is useless without Wi-Fi and file server inaccessible.
Flickers and flashes create cumulative damage that manifest in 'it stopped working or working unpredictably' statements made often weeks after the event.

We used to when we lived in Northern Ireland but not now in Canada - the hydro or electric bills as you call them are outrageous regardless of how you attempt cut back.  We're fighting a losing battle :(

No, we do not unplug electric appliances, nor at sellers' homes. However, we always turn off the water to the house when leaving for more than say, a day.
