Yes, I've had that happen on boxes that were supposedly full.  That's why I ditched the phone app (which was a pile of junk to begin with) and went back to the physical fob.  Only problem with the physical one is sunlight in the reader.  Much more reliable.

I had same thing happen on my Sentri lock box the other day, you can either put a card in to wake it up or turn the blue tooth on your phone off to reset and turn back on and the box should wake up. If that doesn't work call the help line

Kathleen, I have had that happen with my phone where it wouldn't communciate and went in to the board office and the gave my phone to the young receptionist and she knew what to do to get my phone communicating properly with the Supra.

On two occassions we have had to cut it off with bolt cutters and they are very well made and hard to cut off!  Took about an hour each time.

I had one a few months ago go wonky. Sometimes they do not 'wake' like they are supposed to & then you are totally stuck.

Perhaps your battery went dead? I found this on the Supra website: iBox/UnresponsiveKeybox

Hopefully your MLS will be able to help you.

Not yet! An agent who moved out of state, left one on a client's metal fence and I had to get bolt cutters to remove it for her. She is wheelchair bound.

I have only had issues with it still being paired to my car, but I have always been able to get it to work after I realized what was going on.

I believe that the only time I could not open a Supra box was when I neglected to update the phone app and the Supra was on a houses where I could not get cell reception.

Yes.  Too many keys and key tags had jammed the box shut.  A couple of taps with a hammer and the box dropped out.

No consolation, but if you can't get the shackle to release, the thing is goofed up.  Time for bolt cutters and a replacement.

BTW, Kathleen, I hide a key in a combo box somewhere on the property.  I know, security risk, but if a Realtor calls me and says "I can't get your Supra box to open", I have a backup on site.  I tell them where it is, and give them the code.  It's happened maybe twice in my entire career, but I was glad it was there.

Over the years, I have encountered situations where "turning on" has been an issue.  When this has occurred with a Supra iBox I have owned and when it is not attached to a property, I have taken matters into my own hands - and taken said box to the association office where they repair it(replacing the battery typically cures it).

Of course, such occurrences are rare and more commonly this happens on a hot, humid day while attempting to show a property(then a call to the appropriate party is in order after ensuring entry is not possible).  As I recall, they are subject to mishaps when outside temps are too hot or too cool.

It's a not pleasant but that's another thing that is rarely(if ever) taught in real estate licensing school.  It's really a Mr Crappy visit that is not one met on the welcome mat.

I had it happen several times and finally realized that my magnetic phone cover was interfering with the infrared sensor! It would eventually work but, it was embarrasingly slow.

we actually no longer can get the fob in our MLS.  And no, we haven't had the issue.  Now we've had a few people who somehow turned off bluetooth on their phone, but never an issue with a box.

talk dirty to it...that usually turns it on .

Sorry can't help, we ditched Supra 15 years ago for Sentrilock and everything is bluetooth and App based...touchless on the newer models.

I've had them do some funny things, but it seems like if I give it a few minutes it typically sorts itself out. Worst case I'll swing by the board and either swap it out or get them to reset it. I've had better success with the eKey app than I had with the ActiveKey.

I've had that happen.  A couple of things to check are do you need an update and is it connected to Bluetooth.  They both come undone at times.  Have you tried calling them?

Yes, on my listing, battery was dead. My husband had to come and cut it off, on the instructions of my MLS; they replaced the box. Since it was my listing, at least I had another key.

Well, my first thought is a battery check which you've done. I usually replace them when they're about 10 years old and they haven't failed me yet.

I have tried to open some that won't open.  It's usually the listing agent's mistake for using the wrong Supra or having a CBS code and not knowing it.
