Light color kitchen and quartz counters

Hardwood floors (esp wider plank and dark), white cabinets, white quartz that looks like Calcatta (in higher end (1.5MM+ real Calacatta Marbe that is 2 inches thick), brushed nickel, pendant lights, open floor plan (hence hardwood is a must), stainless steal appliances.

Island w/ stools. Often a different color coountertop there (often dark).

It really is hard to generalize, but you picture is very attractive. A

different color island is hot here right now.  Light base and wall cabinets with darker island.  And lots of times we're seeing wood counter top on island requests.

Nothing has changed over the last couple of years here for kitchen design.  White Shaker is still the king of cabinets.  Some flat front thermofoil (new kind) European style cabinets are popping in places, but never as an entire kitchen.

Kitchen open to the Family Room has been trending for over a decade.

We changed to quartz countertops when we upgraded our kitchen.

we're seeing upgraded stoves and two ovens most places, counters are still granite, cabinets are getting painted again, with island being a contrasting color.  Custom homes are seeing a complimentary counter top color and not the same on islands as well.
