In MA the eviction protection law has been extended into October because of COVID, for nonpayment of rent. Unfortunately, many tenants have taken that to mean they have a rent holiday.

How do they choose recipients? 325 divided by $65,000 is $200. The housing situation is so complicated and far reaching and the money collected is so (relatively) little, I would send the proceeds to non profit foodbanks to make it stretch.  But that was not the purpose of the fundraiser.

The Consicous Kid gives books to children. I think this is a scam not related to that organization, can't find 501c3 filed for this deal. My guess is the money goes to the organizer. I know a couple families. If you want a confidential name/ email I can provide one and you decide. I would charge nothing.  $850,000 is a boat of money...
