The older I get, the more I am grateful for what my parents taught me...

1. Stop feeling sorry for yourself...it could be worse.

2.  If you are bored, go rake the yard, pull the weeds, clean your room.

3.  Depressed?  Not a chance...my mom had a hard life and I never saw her depressed...she always saw the light at the end of the tunnel.

I was born in a refugee camp to political parents that lost everthing except the clothes they had on...I never saw them expect help or blame anyone else for their misfortune.

What they taught me was the greatest gift I could have ever needed...

Perhaps it would be a good idea to  start noticing those of us who are happy and enjoying life as best as possible?  Just saying.  There are a lot of happy folks that know how to deal with whatever is thrown in to the mix.
