Make no mistake, we are in a recession.

The American dream has slowed, but is still actively selling.

I never closed, I slowed and have managed to close a deal in March and April and took a new listing yesterday.

Your doom and gloom surprises me Richie, it's not like you.

Yes, America was built upon hard work. People are struggling financially and mentally by being isolated.

It's time to open back up.  We are fighting nature.  A very small percentage of our population is going to get sick and die from this...maybe.  My 88 year old mother with COPD is actually on the upswing of her recovery from it.  Never was hospitalized.  Tired of the media scare tactics.  Enough!

We need not kill the entire economy.  We've flattened the curve.  Time to reopen.

The US only had 2,750 people die from covid yesterday and only a little over 20,000 covid deaths in the past week, so this is basically just the flu. We need to stop this madness! As the Texas Lt Gov said, "the economy is more important the peoples lives". We should all be willing to sacrifice our lives for the economy. The president needs to lead the way by having more rallies. That will show us the foolishness of this shutdown.

We are probably going to pay a high price because of the pandemic, how high it's hard to me to say. This has also made my future plans to be put on hold. I'm safe where I live now, my mobile is paid for, I love my mobile but the thought of moving is not I'm looking forward to.

It is time to open up the economy.  We all know to keep our safety precautions in affect.  After all this time, we have just over 70 infected in Elk Grove with a population over 177,000.  And we never really had any curve.  People are already congregating at Home Depot, the grocery store, the nursery and many other places without the numbers going up.  What do the numbers have to be until our politicians feel like we can loosen up some?  How many jobs lost and companies destroyed before they consider the downside of staying closed down?

Supply chain, trade system, barter....

I see. Those are legitimate aruments if indded a level playing field existed. As was demonstrated with first wave of loans from the SBA, the field is not level.

And when the National economny is based on ever increasing deficit spending, (just print more money and keep kicking the can down the road) those things of real value are devalued.

Everyday can't be Chrismas and those Santa Cluases in DC have lost all sense of reality. The real question is, "What will be the event that rights ths ship?"

In the meantime, the gov't should fire up the presses and pay us all to stay home until this 'no end in sight' cluster they created is over.

Survival-ism....you think that is  a BAD THING?

We must be careful not to slide down the slippery slope! That said we must test the waters and begin opening the economy immediately. Illinois is trying to figure this out with no solution as of yet!

It has been said the second wave of this virus will be worse than this one and possibly more because many of us will be back to work, socializing(having a drink at a bar from a good mixologist), and going back to visit relatives.

While looking back through history and the "Spanish Flu" if we had the present elected officials and they tried to do this there would have been a larger uprising then today.

Stay positive, be productive. Protecting the local economy COVID19 or not is always on small town radar. Make sure your real estate local loan lending happens. Title work done by local providers. Insurance with in your market not far far away servers. Those dollars spent locally turn over six to seven times internally.

Local matters more than ever. Do your part locally regardless of what Uncle Sam, your state governor is or is not doing to your satisfaction. I bought a lake property next to an already owned home. Kept a carpenter busy for the last three months, hired an electrician, put in a new bath using a local plumber, installed hardwood floors, new windows, new walls, doors, granite, bought lots of paint and stain for the total renovation inside. Outside work shift will put others to work.

Small town means one man contractors so no COVID19 spread, no people with army of one local contractors. I list and sell and take all images, put my own sign, shoot video and it is A to Z. We have the space in rural to weather it out easier. Only 2 cases in a county the size of Connecticut and Rhode Island playing it safe which makes most sense for long run.

Lots of good has come out of the #alonetogether and pulling together reassessing life habits that were not so fruitful and artificial. Second grand child just born yesterday, first one is local and life is good! It is what we make of any situation.

Movie theatre is closed and churches streaming, home schooling happening. But otherwise we are busy listing and selling remotely. Had lots in the pipeline and low end cash sales flying off the shelves like toilet paper demand. Stimulate your local economy in a safe keep-your-distance work around Richie Alan Naggar !

Beef up your website, overhaul your blogging, kick into gear your video channel. So much to do in the shift of your daily routine. Keep sending whoever cuts your hair a little check to let them know you appreciate what they do that they can't for awhile longer. Take part in Meals On Wheels to let the elderly know they are not forgotten. They appreciate those daily stops from six feet away talks and attention. Those locally prepared meals create jobs the older folks really need. Local groceries and restaurants are on straight with business too.

We will reopen, BUT only when the time is right and it is NOT. Those that reopen too soon will suffer the consequences and endanger others when they travel and spread the virus. Why is it so difficult to understand that thousands of people are literally dying every day and there will be more if we do not practice the protocol recommended by doctors and scientists?

Here's a statemen from your governor:

California could face a second wave of COVID-19 that makes this outbreak 'pale in comparison' if it pulls back on social distancing tactics, warns Gov. Gavin Newsom.

Helping your Montana dreams take root

My state has very low numbers of confirmed cases, but most businesses here have been closed, same as most everywhere else. I just saw that within the next few days, places of worship, Main Street businesses and services may open with some guidelines on distancing/capacity. In a week, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, breweries can open, with capacity limits. At the same time, schools can open at the discretion of districts and with some guidelines/recommendation.

Theaters/gyms/bowling allesy/large gathering events will stay closed and I think I read somewhere that non-essential travel is still discouraged.

So the inevitable questions - once the green light is given, do I think all those establishments will follow distancing rules and guidelines? Do I think people will behave in a safe manner? Do I think people who are ill will stay home? Do I think there will be more people getting C-19?

No, No, No, Yes.
