Yep, same here. My hands have never had so much stuff on them, even as a kid playing around outside all the time!

Mine were getting pretty dry. I started putting on a heavy moisturizer before bed and first thing in the morning and my hands are almost back to normal. 

I have always been one to use lots of sanitizer. The answer is a good lotion

I was just talking to my dad about that yesterday. It actually helps if you use cold water (or only lightly warm).  They shared this on the news as people are worried about that here (the virus moreso than their hands). The effect of soap is it's an emulsifier and works either way.

moisturizer obviously helps too.

I keep essential oils in all my soaps and it prevents the dried, cracked hands.  You can also use Eucerin, which is excellent in calming the ezema being produced byt he hand washing!  You can also try rubbing vaseline (or Eucerin, or Vitamin E) onto your hands before bed each night.  

Not a lotion guy normally, but use it regularly currently. Hands like sandpaper and the coarse kind!

My wife and my admin have both been mentioning this issue lately, has not been a problem for me so far but I suspect that we will all be having this problem before long.

Unless the world runs out of hand sanitizer sometime soon.

I have always had moisturizer at hand (no pun intended) -- in the kitchen, in my office, on my bed stand, in my office, in my car, in my purse. So extra washing isn't a big issue for me... I've been layering moisturizer on my hands and face forever. Plus, if you use a moisturizing soap... that helps too.

I learned a long time ago that washing my hands too much caused more damage than benefit, haha.

No, I use mostly soap and water. Sanitizer is for out and about only and I only grocery shop once per week. Don’t need it hiking.
But I also have to paraffin dip my hands several times per week so I’m sure that helps.

I slather myself in lotion from head to toe every day as I have wicked dry  skin

Two tips: find lotion with lavender it is anti microbial and you need the moisture to protect your skin which is the largest organ to protect the body

Squeeze fresh orange juice or lemons for the vitamin C and save the

peel halves in the sink. Wash hands, dig nails into the pith and peel which

have oils, voila moisturize and deep clean

Coconut oil is real good for restoring moisture . . . but drinking extra water is necessary too!

Mine are too. I did read that it's important to keep your hands moisturized because the virus could get into cracks in dry skin. I don't know if this is true but who wants dry hands!!!!

The tops of both hands are red and reached.  So rashed that lotion irritates the skin.  

Lotion is recommended as the virus has a harder time sticking to it and it's good for our dry skin.

For years I've made my own intense hand repair cream and lip balm.  Recently, my mother had an accidental chemical burn from a hair restoration product after chemo... she did the strangest thing, I thought... she put my lip balm on the burn.  And within about 24 hours she noticed a difference.  And within a few days the discoloration was gone...  

So I did some research. My lip balm has a few ingredients but coconut oil is the main one.  I don't like hard, sticky chapsticks because they hurt to apply in the dry heat of Arizona. I wanted something more soothing.  Coconut oil is really good for the dryness.  I'm not looking to send a bunch of lip balm out to anyone, but if you can get your dry hands on some coconut oil at night (before bed) and just a touch does the trick, it really helps A LOT. 

I try to only use the hand sanitizer when I'm out in public & don't have hand soap and a sink available. 

Yes. That’s what the news said for us to do.

Definitely, Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, CRS ... read an article that says you should slather on the lotion thickly too ... provides better protection and seals cracks in the skin where virus can enter.  Have been trying to follow that advice religiously ...

Many of us need the lotions.

YES!  My skin is so dry and I keep putting on my lotion but it's never enough!  Guess I need to find one that works better.
