I would tell them you have a previous engagement and find a different time to do a walk through. There can't be only one hour before closing they can meet. I am very accommodating, but they don't own me or my time.

Not everyone cares about the SuperBowl, Will. I care more about the fact that I client would think I'd be working that late on a Sunday evening, which I would not be and something they would know when we first started working together.

I guess it's ok but quite unusual. The time after 5:30pm our time is 100% blocked off as family time.

If they have a Monday morning settlement, I bet the Super Bowl is the last thing on their mind.  Their purchase is bigger than the Super Bowl.  So if they wanted to do it, do it.

You can always tell them no; afterall it is a Sunday evening.  People will usually work around a broker's schedule, if the broker is firm.  Good luck!

This might come as a shock to some, but there are those who couldn't care less about the super bowl; if you have a foreign buyer, for example.

I'm closed Sundays. And so is most of real estate:

Title Company is closed.

Escrow Company is closed.

County Offices are closed.

Most Lenders are closed Sundays.

Many professional REALTORS with professional hours (boundaries) are closed (if they like me have chosen Sundays as their day off. I realize we can choose any day of the week, but as you can see, the least needed day is Sunday).

etc. etc. etc.

Most houses are open and available without a REALTOR's access.

All odds are 50/50. Either it will happen or it will not. If the request for that came to me it would be 100% ain't happening. Sunday is my day off.

It's not the fact that it is Superbowl Sunday, maybe the client only has time to do it on a Sunday because he works on weekdays? If that's the case, I would schedule it before the game starts so I can do both.

If you have plans, they need to schedule an appointment with YOU, Will. I would suggest meeting in the morning prior to the Closing to be sure you don't miss any burst pipes, etc.

It's a SUNDAY and many, many agents don't even work Sundays. If you have plans on a Sunday, they surely won't be upset with you.

I have no clue - if that is what a client wanted I would do it.  Super bowl means nothing to me.  The game does not impact my life in any way. Serving a client does ... in many ways.
