We have not stopped having moments.  My first moment was when I wanted a bicycle, and my parents could not afford one.  I entered a contest in our local newspaper which was writing an essay...I won second prize (even though English was my third language) $25.  That money bought a pink used bike, and I learned a valuable lesson.  A

I was a big fish in a tiny pond for many years, always trying to break through those ceilings, then I decided to join in with KW, copy and adapt their systems.

Great system, and some amazing people to learn from and grow with.

It pays to hang out with millionaires.

I guess my first "Moment" was during my freshman year in college.  My legal guardians had a course they expected my life to take.  I had some different ideas so they sent me a letter telling me "you're responsible to keep a roof over your head and food on your table. Don't come back to us for help."  My reaction was "Yay".  That's "the" moment I knew I was in charge of my own life. 

I was at a meeting and a smart person said : "Watch what works for you, and do more of it". I have been practicing this for many years and it works well so far.

the light came on and the path to the stairway to success happened when I DECIDED TO MAKE NEW CONSTRUCTION MY NICHE.... and I focused totally on that.... I had multiple subdivisions going at the same time and a steady flow of business for decades....  

yup...light bulb on.... floundering stopped... grabbing pieces from this and that ended....  total discipline and focus on one area....new homes....and also land to build them on!

I was watching a youtube video and the guy said something like "not reaching your goals? Quit being selfish and do the work!" Signed up for a dialer and started calling the same day. 

I read The E-Myth in 1995 to take my DJ business from $100K to $200K per year. I joined the E-Myth Academy and was coached for 1 year

by Michael E. Gerber. The light came on at the end of that year that the training was better applied to the family business of real estate and that's when I decided to relent, and become a REALTOR; applying all I'd learned to this industry for the long term and the entertainment industry in the interim. It worked. I finally hit $200K as a REALTOR not as a DJ. The light was right!

OH BY THE WAY..... I've had many light bulb moments prior, since and I know more are to come.

I was laid off due to a corporate take-over. A broker friend suggested that I consider becoming a REALTOR. I did and found out that I could succeed in a second career. I realized that being laid off was a blessing for me.

The big Aha came when I realized to focus on others and not myself.
