yes.... when I was active, channel 5 did a tour of new construction in Franklin MA and I was interviewed at one of my model homes.... plus the TV van with a reporter and me in the van toured all of my subdivisions.... I had all new signs with riders that had my name on them installed on every lot that had a new home being built...  I got a ton of business from it but so didn't other offices in the town.... the other agents wanted me to do another segment...LOL

And you are right. Every morning I listen to NPR and the host overtly structures questions that compel the response he wants. Pam Bondi was on a few weeks ago who wasn't going to play ball, and he cut off her microphone. See, that's  what liberals and democrats call 'free speech."

IT is all FAKE NEWS because EVERYONE is lying. 

What I find exciting, and a great credit to you, is he called the next day with a completely different question. When you speak from vision, attraction is inevitable.

Not in the same way as you told in your post but I have been contacted by reporter(s) who "found" me through ActiveRain.   I enjoyed the New Hampshire real estate angle of the 2020 Presidential race you shared.

I have.  Or at least there was an attempt.  Like you, I was sitting in a restaurant ... when I saw the reporter and his camera people, I cringed and said out loud, oh God, [name] just walked in the door.  He walked right up to me and I declined to engage.  

That said, I did have my head shaved as it was filmed live on two local tv channels ... and I was interviewed as the person shaved my head.  That was not because of my line of work - it was a cancer thing. 

Yes I have Scott Godzyk PLUS I am part of the media with my own radio program that is broadcast on two Minot Radio stations (as well as their internet feeds). I also post my show on Podomatic. The show was "Minot Real Estate Today" but now with my retirement it is simply "Minot Today".

Yes, I was interviewed once by a local news channel.  Wanted an opinion of the local real estate market... stood in front of one of my listings, asked me a few questions,  and only took a few minutes.  Was pleasant and easy experience... as always they edit things out and get the sound bites they want to broadcast.  Had some people  comment to me that they saw me on TV.. didn't hurt to have the promo.

I have.  It's gone fine, and mostly I've been quoted accurately, thus far.  I know what you're talking about with the "leading" questions.

Yes & you really have to watch them as your example gives. I've had good results with some great PR over the years.

I havee had contact with reproters, Cable stations and the like and one learns to be on their toes and speaking carefully & clearly less it is hijacked.....

A LONG TIME BACK a 'reporter' wasted a bunch of my time 'interviewing me' for a local paper . . . I was optimistic even during a down market and explained the need for additional services for our aging demos and better schools for our new young families . . . he printed NONE of it and INSTEAD quoted 2 barnacles crying about how bad the market was . . . my positivity did not fit the narrative. And that dummy went back to the Midwest to teach middle school. LOL

Yes but not lately, thankfully.

I have been interviewed on local real estate shows and it is on you tube.  My daughter was on HGTV's Rock the Block this season as one of the finalist judging Realtors for the Pardee Homes in Santa Clarita.

No I have not been interviewed by media.

Yes a number of times for various topics and reasons.

Only for real estate publications, not the "general" media. 

I have on numerous occasions and it went very well. I will say that most of the local reporters in the real estate arena seem to genuinely want to know how the market really is.

To date, they haven't asked leading questions (or questions in the hopes of my answering them to confirm their 'opinion' of the market). I think I would stop answering if they did...no, I'd call them out on it!! LOL

Yes, multiple times. It's gone well and I was quote accurately. I know this one reported who has called me 3 or 4 times now over the years.

Last year Business Insider had a questionaire posted online for real estate agents. I responded to the questionaire- and they quoted me in 4 out of the 5 articles they wrote from those questions.
