Many people who ask for my advice, hell, most of them, ALREADY KNOW what to do and just need a little pat on the butt. 

I'm not ego-invested in being smarter than anyone else . . . only in paid on-the-job training! And hopefully a few cocktails to celebrate that we got it done!

In my mind, that is WHY they are as smart as they are - they listen...and LEARN and they build upon the knowledge they glean from others in their respective disciplines.

I do not recall a time that I became aware of.  Most if not all of the time I do know more than clients.  I've spoken with attorneys (California Association of Realtors) attorneys that knew less about a subject matter than I did. That is why I do not use them as a resource ... I call my risk management attorney who darn well better know! 

I wish I knew what Dodgeball Penalty Box means.  I must have missed something.

100 times more qualified? no.  More qualified? perhaps but generally speaking there was nothing sudden about said realization, I knew from the start. Like showing property to a real estate attorney for example.
