Annette, is this your 2nd one? I'm recommending a 10# ABC extinguisher whenever there's visibly too much "alchohol" being served with my "Bannas Foster" dessert. Yummy for the tummy!

No.  The phrase "Not my circus, not my monkeys" comes to mind.  I do ask for an extra scoop of ice cream on top though.  It's the responsibility of the catering company to do perform in a safe manner and it's in the home owner's best interest to have safety precautions in place.

Besides a fire needs three things to start & survive: Heat, Fuel and Oxygen.  A tablecloth, the chef's apron (provided there is no booze on it) or other thick linen should be sufficient to starve the fire of oxygen, thus extinguishing it.  Smaller ones can be handeled with a glass of water, soda, etc.

While I don't care if/where the extinguisher is, I would be able to respond effectively with a "Plan B" should the need arise.

No, because being an introvert who doesn't drink alcohol, I have already hightailed it the hell out of there to avoid the drunkersations. I have seen how much alcohol agents can put down LONG before the desert arrives.
