I don't believe anyone from my house will attend Peter Mohylsky even though my daughter was born on May 4th and loves to remind people her birthday says "May the 4th be with you". She does love Star Treck however.

No.  Outside of the "Holy Trilogy" (4-6) the movies have been very uninspired and rather garbage.  JJ Abrams did to Star Wars what he did to Star Trek, ruined it.  He made "Transformers in Space" and very heavily borrowed from the original movies.  His "Into Darkness" Trek movie was "Wrath of Khan" and was sadly obvious from the commercials/trailers.  Episode 7 was the script for "A New Hope" and to some degree Jedi and Empire.  Same sequence of events, just no Ewoks.

 

Add to that the fact that the lead female in the movie has come out and repeatedly insulted all men (who make up 80%-90% of the audience for these movies) and this movie can burn for all I care.  Mark Hamil got it right when he (allegedly jokingly said) "wait for it to come to cable."

The original 3 is where I came in (all three I saw original relase in theaters by the way). I ended there. Episode I sucked so bad I never saw any of the others. But I watched the heck out of the original 3.
