I give back because the Salvation Army does great work in the community by putting people to work and the organization helped me more than 26+ years ago with rent during the pregnancy of my first child.

I definitely don't avoid them and do dig if I have cash. I've also 'manned' the kettle many years with my Rotary club.

The Salvation Army is such an amazing charity that does so much for our servicemen and women as well as those locally. This is from set up yesterday for the children's Christmas for boys & girls in need right here in Charlotte.

I always make sure to drop something into the kettles... even if that means it's more than once per day. I've also rang the bell for the SA myself, it's quite enlightening and also a lot of fun!

I love greeting the Greeters and putting something in the pot.  I ring the bell every year because it is a good cause and I enjoy seeing all the hustle and bustle of the shoppers. It hurts to see so many that are so caught up in their busyness that they really do alter their path to avoid us.  But oh I am so thankful for those who do not and even make a donation.

I don't avoid them and donate occasionally when I have cash. If it is really cold and a coffee place is in the store that I am going to, I occasionally ask if they would like a coffee or hot chocolate and will get them one. I donate time and money to a few charities throughout the year but still give smaller amounts in the kettles and the "round up" requests that seem to be everywhere right now.

Here's another idea from a family in Erie County PA: after they decorated their yard with 30,000 Christmas lights, they placed a RED KETTLE near the street for the passerby's to make a donation.

Tuck away the folded green in the kettles and every year ring the bell for the Salvation Army. Dress warm but you see the little kids who want to help and those adults too busy who don't make eye contact. Sadly, the ones who have the least to give contribute the most.. not the other way around. Our local Rotary Club circulates the December sign up sheet for a shift every year.

The TV setting had a door ringing. I got up went to my door thought Santa brought me a package.

Did you know Amazon is firing its 3rd party partner FDX for being late on the premiere delivery service?  They did that to XO before. If you can not work with your partner who is trying its best to get things done, perhaps Bezos should go to another country disrupt their system...
