The engagement on your blog will most likely increase proportionately to you engagement on other blogs. It tends to be reciprocal.

Blog posts may not get as much attention with ar folks as Q&A does, but is that really the only audience you want for your blog posts.
Your Q gets interaction with about 37 people, a blog post gets read by many more and hopefully a few of those will become clients.

All the question asked on AR are hypothetical (or should be).
It is bad judgment to actually present real client scenarios into a public forum.
Meanwhile, engagement in Q&A is about asking questions you know others can answer. The value comes from knowing the middle ground and understanding the distribution that will occur.
On a blog, engagement is the same except you need some organic traffic which you must create.
The challenge you have is VOICE. Are you a BROKER speaking the agents, or an agent speaking to home buyers and sellers? Note: overwhelmingly, agents on AR have indicated they prefer things DFY (done for you) so it is important to make the hypothetical easy.
So, if you publish a blog no one reads, it is really a blog?

Engagement with others and reciprocity will yield more comments as people get to know you. It also depends on the posts - some topics yield more engagement

Ask a hypothetical question and you will get a hypothetical answer.
One important thing to know about your blog on AR is that comments are NOT a good measure of engagement. Check your stats...my blogs that have the most views have little or no comments BUT the important thing is that peole are finding them, reading them and contacting me.

You would get more traction on your blogs if you interact more with others. That is the idea here at AR.

I get far more interaction in the Q&A section also, but I still blog for the backlinks.

Some of us (myself included), don't have time to read dozens of blogs a day. I pretty much only go to this section.
