There are those who say a fool and his money are soon parted.  Is this a foolish thought or something quite profound?

John Brady , I believe the most frequently asked questions in this section are about lead generators and if you go back through them you will find that successful agents totally steer clear of all of them. They are a huge waste of your time and money, the last two things a new agent can afford to loose. Get out in your community and shake hands. Make a name for yourself by helping out and making your community a better place.

Years ago, I used them...

Until I found out that despite that fact that I was paying for exclusive leads, the leads were going to several agents.

Nope... I stopped talking to all these lead sellers years ago... same old, same old and the quality of the leads don't change and your money is badly spent.

John,

One of our clients did very well the first year Zurple started, by the second the price went up and the leads were not great, and that was that for them.  I think you could do better generating you own.  A

I don't have any specific experience with Nurple leads, but in my experience I've found 'paying for leads' less than valuable.

Improving Conditions

If agents stop paying third parties to get in between us and the public, Realtors may once again be the group the public goes to for real estate information and advice. We had the position once and foolishly paid third parties to knock us out of that position. Spend your money on marketing yourself or simply hand out $20 bills with you biz card stapled to them. You'll get more biz than paying Zurple, Zillow or any other such vampire (tis the season).

John I do think you'll be better off in the long run if you work on staying in touch consistenly with your sphere of influence. Building a referral business will do well for you over many years. Leads....from some company, not so much.  Good luck!
