NAR is too afraid of another anti-trust lawsuit to do anything.  They are a completely useless organization that should be destroyed!  I've said it for years, they are a national union that is completely useless.  Our dues go to fancy $1,000+ office chairs and high rent glass front skyscrapers.

 

In California it is illegal to require NAR membership in order to access the MLS and we have more licensees than most states combined.  We should collectively drop our NAR membership, but that would require action from a group of people that have let Zillow and other portals steamroll overthem.

What a shame.

This video needed to be coupled with  a petition or website where agents could toss their had in the ring. An enterprise who sees there are 144,000 agents ready to make a bold move will be more likely to fund the action and create the infrastructure.

Be aware, franchises and brokers know they hold the keys and agents are actually powerless cry-babies. At any hint of insubordination or subversive activity, the broker can de-activate and hold license in suspension for a long time.

Courage, willingness to draw outside the lines and commitment to the 'cause' are some of the essentials to making a difference.  Do real estate agents have what it takes?
