We have so many new agents in the Phoenix metro. They all think real estate is easy money. They know how to solicit business, but they do not know anything else. Commission is their only objective.

Yes, it's the same agents you see behaving badly. Whether it be to get a listing or make a deal work. They lack integrity and any human decency. They are highly disliked in the industry yet somehow have a lot of business. I think there's a certain kind of consumer that is drawn to this kind of agent. I don't see these agent's going out of business.

What I have seen is agents who are desparate to make money because they haven't made a sale lately. Let's face it, there are just too many trying to make that buck.

Well.. I'll be the first to admit that one reason I do what I do is for the money... being the little capitalist that I am, it doesn't bother me to admit that! I'm not always sure that the ones that get weeded out are in it only for the money... more like many of them are not prepared for the hard work and the capital investment required to stay in this business.

Sadly, I probably have seen more teachers in it for the money than real estate agents, and some certainly held on too long.!  They stayed in it for the health insurance until Medicare.

Instead I see the greed appearing in other well publicized real estate business models.

As long as good agents toe the line and remain silent regarding the bad apples, these infestations will prosper and grow.

There is a difference in the behavior of the desperate and the predator.

We are all in it for the money...just like any other business. Difference is with some participants, there are no rules observed, no principles, no consideration for clients, fellow participants or doing what is right, legal and ethical.

It is good when those folks are weeded out.
