I was thinking of lessons learned this week as well.  Some lessons are learned immediately.  Others become "light bulb" moments.  Still others are seen much later but it's wonderful when that spark is ignited.  I can't always identify the genesis of the lesson but I am aware when the magic comes to life.  

I learned that there are places in the country that don't do much work on weekends (in the summers - because people actually want to enjoy the summer with their families!).

And I learned that Montana doesn't require proof of insurance when registering a car.

And I learned that homemade eggplant parm tastes delicious out of doors.

I learned what a grouse looks like, and I learned that our new property has tons of wildlife.

I learned a lot more stuff. Fun week.

Can't say I've had any earth-shattering lessons or revelations in the past week, Will.

I learned that it's a good idea to clean your camera's lense BEFORE shooting your pictures. 

Will Hamm Door hangers worked for me, even in the Western PA snowbelt around Erie, PA.

1. Do not trust tenant when they say I won't smoke in the apartment...

I practiced being nice to rude people.  It's a lesson I keep top of mind and just never forget it.  

I always thought door hangers were a sign that no one was home.... leaves that home as a target by thieves....

I learned my schedule is not as important to others as it is to me... oh wait, that's an old lesson.

"Pone calls" Really? What are those, Will Hamm?

well hell, I find that hard to believe. No one does those out here at all. Most end up blowing off the homes & then the association complains.

Important to get that marketing out there, glad to hear it is working Will.

I have not used door hangers in so long. Glad they still work for you. As for lessons learned, listen more and talk less!

What did I learn this week? Nothing in my mind - all my thoughts abour Hurricaine Dorian. 

But were the calls positive or filled with expletives about not wanting door hangars?  According to the feedback on our local NextDoor, homeowners detest these sorts of marketing activities.

For my learn this week, I did discover a limit as to how much crap I will tolerate from a client's abusive behavior.
