In our MLS here in NH, it requires us to check the mapping and click ok that we checked and agree.

In my MLS that would be a violation.  It's very rarely out in tract home suburbia for the mapping program to get it wrong.  Usually it's human interaction that moves the pin to the better side of the street or in the middle of the street.

I don't think that most agents even check that. I know that I do. Could give a home a good or bad location depending.

I bet 9 out 10 agents don't even know about it.

S. I.  S. O.  is a comment i use alot regarding listing verbiage.  I am NOT going to explain what that means in this forum,  

My momma used to tell me to play nice with the other kids but it is getting harder and harder.  

Our MLS gives us the ability to post the lattitude and longitude of a home which ups the accuracy when we submit a listing. I don't know about other MLS's, however.

In our MLS the agent doesn't do the pinning Kevin J. May but I think we can move the pin once it's been posted. I'd say it's the MLS software and busy agents who just assume the software put the pin in the proper place without double checking it.

That issue is merely the 'tip of the iceberg' as far as we are concerned. More importantly is the failure of listing agents to fully disclose simple facts like holding an interest in the listed property

Hi Kevin when I see this I think "now how difficult is it to pin the property to where it actually is............not at the front of the neighborhood or complex.

Out MLS system sucks at GPS locating.

There are multiple ways to be mystified by human behavior. Humored as well. It's one of life's little pleasures.  Well, sometimes. 

Kevin, Another annoyance ---wrong driving directions!!

The agent may be outside the county and doesn't know that mapping software may not lead to main entrance of HOA gated communities.  You can always tell, usually on a foreclosure, when agent hasn't been to property and just copied directions from Google maps.

That would not be me.  I can only speak for myself.

I do get that Kevin! Google maps needs to be updated...they are well behind the times. Recently, a land lot was showing all the way across the county - I had to manually go in and re-locate the pin. It is the agent's responsibility to ensure the pin is correctly placed or an error report is the result here.

I think some agents do it so quickly, they are not paying close enough attention.

Google makes the last step difficult which is a postcard, last time I wait almost 2 months to verify my location.  LINKS REMOVED.
