Wow! Hotter in New England than in the South! We hit a new high of 97 yesterday but with the heat index it felt like over 100 degrees. Right now it's still under 80 at 79 degrees, but the temperature will definitely rise into the 90's today.

We've had quite mild temps so far in central Washington State. Currently 55º at 6:20 a.m.  High today is predicted to be 86º. High 90's by early next week.  And our humidity is less than yours.  Stay cool!

We are not breaking any records this year in Charlotte, for which I am thankful! The heat index is over 100º but, the temperature isn't quite there yet today - so, please no records! LOL

I do have two local metoriologists as clients and one of them shared this link that shows the highest temperature on record each year. I'm always asked how much 'hotter it is here than it is historically" so, I think this is a great link to show there were extremes throughout all of our history.

You do not want to know. It will be as high as 71 deg F, 66 near the coast. Right now at 7 am need a coat (59 deg). We finally installed a central a/c after in the same house for 35 years. Used once testing purpose.

Right now we're at a balmy 100 with 10% humidity, high today will be around 108 and we'll spend the evening once again in the pool staying cool. That's pretty much what we do all summer long.  I feel for all you guys back east as you've got high temps and high humdity - ugh.

No where close...in the mid 70s here in Carlsbad! I remember being in Palm Desert a few years ago in August and it was 117, and I was at a conference in Scottsdale AZ one summer at 119! And that's the bare temp NOT the heat index.

Sorry you are baking, Barbara. I feel badly for so many people who are suffering right now!
