Pam, I looked at the question and read all the comments, the only one being judgy, was you. Instead of getting mad, perhaps, you could take a different approach and ask why many who answered are not using auto-dialers. That would be the way I look at it.
Copying and pasting answers are not the way I would've gone about it.

Home is where the hearth is.

I just located the post that was likely the catalyst for your question.  You asked about people with experience with "dialers", and many answered that they don't have any experience, and didn't support using dialers.  You chose to take those responses, which were fairly matter-of-fact as "snarky".

I guess snark is in the mind of the beholder, 'cause I didn't 'hear' any snark in those responses.  I guess if you're looking for trouble, you'll find it.

Pam, you've got 127,000+ points, I would expect by now you've seen points driven behavior in this community?

ANY question asked in this particular part of the forum is often populated with many "nonanswers" that are there solely for points collection purposes (assuming I'm mindreading properly).

I looked back at what I'd assume to be the spark for this particular Q, and there wasn't a single response that I'd consider worthy of being labeled "Judgy".

People expressed their opinons on the use of robodialers, provided you specific input on systems,  or told you they've never used them.  All typical type answers for any Q in this forum.  Anyone can choose to parse out the input that provides value to you and ignore the rest.

Take a look at your responses to the original question and this one.  Have you given anyone a reason to send business to "Your Colorado Springs Realtor"?    It's a question anyone interacting in a public forum such as this needs to ask themselves, and frame their responses accordingly.

Bless your heart, if you ask a question here you had best expect honest answers.  I do "move on" if it's a post pointed at the public, but a question in the q & a and if you ask and I see it I'll give an honest answer.  If you can't handle the honest answer that's on you.  I didn't see your question, but in looking at the answer you called "judgy" from Alan May  above I find you calling the fact he stated he'd never used a dialer service "judgy".  Judgy would be way different from "I never used one".  And now I'm going to get a little "judgy", if you don't grow some thicker skin you won't do well in this business.  You will get far more rejection than affirmation in real estate.  You can't take it personally.

We are not all going to 'feel' the same way or have the same approach to our businesses. However, sometimes the opinion of others or others' practices can help us improve upon our own business. That is what this forum is all about, Pam Gordon.

Telling you 'Great Job' instead of giving you an honest opinion is not going to help you at all. For the most part, I believe, however, that we are tactful in our responses, whether we agree with the question or not.

Pam,

So, you want everyone to make you feel good, to throw sweet remarks to admire you endlessly for your questions and comments, or as I would put it walk on eggshells?

Opinions came from experience and perception.  For some certain things are bad, for others they are great...All those things expressed are what makes life great and interesting...

There are no intentions to be negative, although anything can be interpreted negatively if you want to do that.  For instance, it would have been thoughtful to post your question as a members only!  Posting it as public in an inner circle is definitely negative in my opinion.   A

People.  People are the elixir of life. There are good. Not so good. And the others.  Take what works for you and leave the rest. Negativity is abundant. The more we focus on it the more it expands.  Focus on that brings you joy and peace in your heart and in your life.

I've seen sarcastic answers on lots of different posts, or answers/replies that have nothing to do with the question at all. I think people are just simply posting for the sake of gaining points, and if they can do something smug that gets upvotes or more points, then why not?

Pam-I am rarely in the Q&A section but saw your question and then followed the comments made here and to what I think is the question you asked that you felt received negative comments or answers to it. And, I didn't see any that were judgy or negative. Yes, many replied that they don't use the service you were referring to but is that negative?

If anything I found that your comments to them may have been a bit defensive.

If you didn't get many answers from members who use the auto-dialers it may because many don't use them. That is an answer itself. Those who answered could have just passed and not responded at all. I know that were I an agent and didn't use the service I too may have just not even responded. The answers give you something to go on.

Pam Gordon most people here are gifting time, a precious commodity. Some express their opinions in direct fashion. I read the comments and many just told you their answer, which was "no."  There is nothing harsh or personal about saying no, it is an answer which you opened up to hopefully learn from.  If someone hurt your feelings, may I say to you that it was likely not personal or at you- we do help each other - we don't often agree - Nice to meet you

What Bob "RealMan" Timm said. I don't necessarily consider someone disagreeing with me a negative... I like a good debate. Now, if someone is not courteous in how they express themselves, that's a whole other story.

And I went back to your original question and the only "judgy" person, as you put it, was yourself. Ooops, sorry for being negative!

I'm sorry you feel this way.

But...

Everyone can express their opinion and they should. What would be good to any society if everyone agrees with everyone and is ''nice''?

Yes, that's right, this community is very supportive and we do help each other.  I believe, if someone invested their time to read your question, answer it, maybe even check your profile and your blog,  it is better to thank them.

Some comments might seem rude. But you do not need to do the same...

That's a good question that deserves a better understanding.

Let me begin with, "Folks will do what you tell them to do." For example, in my a, b, c, d questions I include an option for those with no ideas to jump on.

Everyone wants to be heard, even if the subject is way out of their wheelhouse. "Don't say anything at all' is not an option on their list.

A completely fabricated story (Pizza Hut forming a Swastika with slices of peperoni) was presented and everyone insisted on being heard on a subject completely not true. People were compelled to voice, then raise their hand, then stand up.

They were advised they invested so much emotion into something absolute fabricated simply because of their need to be heard, to be noticed.

Now, it should be known I have been the one who may be identified as negative, harsh or inconsiderate. My comment, 'Get over it."

When I squeeze I do so with the expectation the writer will respond in exceptional brilliance. You should let your brilliance shine when such opportunities present.

Disabling comments on a new post shows lack of fabric and the inability to substantiate your position. But you can do that if you need.

SUGGESTION: make sure you "upvote" all other comments so the one you don't like drags the bottom of the list.

Some people cannot help themselves for a variety of reasons: 1. It is their inherited parental dysfunction compelling them to do what was done to them. 2. There is negative intrusion within thus opportunity allows it to come out. 3. Hindsight will visit with them at a later time (?) and conscience will kick-in helping them to repent (change) this behavior. All people must learn this vital rule i.e. how to navigate through the different personalities successfully. First lesson? Your part to play or not which involves learning about yourself. Be prepared for your own stuff to surface. After that, error in others is easier to handle/understand

I like to go with the idea if i have nothing good to say, i move on. I use that thought online where i read the question and answers and then judge if i can add anything that will be of help. BUT when you ask an opinion, your going to get the good with the bad with the ugly. Auto dialers are hated by all but those who use them. That is no secret
