I have been known "to grill" a few people but rarely friends unless they are asking for such treatment.  I digress...

I don't want friends as clients. I'll refer them. As long as they bring good booze! I do excellent salmon and scallops!

if friends want to buy or sell, I don't need to feed them.... they come over to just hang out and the last thing I want to talk is real estate....never discuss it....

they all give us business.... when we get together it's fun and not business....when we're doing business, it's ALL BUSINESS until we close....

I had two friends give business to Tammy this year, and I kept out of it but did all their marketing....they thanked me for everything I did, just as any client would....

We grill at least 4 times a week, and if we invite people over, there is no other motive other than to enjoy each other's  company and have great food and conversations.

I can smell someone from miles when they invite us for a meal with the intent of promoting to us...it makes my skin crawl...heebie jeebies.  A

Never.  Find it inappropriate.  Besides, my home is my sanctuary.  I would not call people friends if I was throwing a sales pitch to them.   Not my thing.

We have friends come up to grill and chill and play cornhole! No business opps for us at home, this is our sanctuary.

I grill but not for clients. We go to restaurants.  I consider myself as a pretty good cook, see a photo of my grilled chicken satay (forgot to take a photo of the peanut sauce).

I grill 4 - 5 times a week, and sometimes with friends, but not looking for it to be about business. I have had clients over a few times but that's rare.

I never grill; I've never owned a grill; I doubt I will ever grill at this stage of my life. I don't invite friends to my house with a goal of turning them into clients. If they become so, great, but that's not my objective when hosting people at my home. However, I have been know to invite past clients to my house because I want to enjoy them as friends.

We BBQ a few times a week but never to invite a client to do business. Seems a little tacky to me.

My sphere built my business so, they are often invited to our home for dinner!

They are, however, NOT invited in the hopes they will buy or sell just because I feed them!

I try not to grill my friends, though my kids did accuse me of interrogating their friends when they were in High School.

Seriously though, I never do that, just run into them at other events and get it done.

Zero.  When I have friends over it's not because they can turn into clients.

I did annually Will Hamm but it was for past Buyers and there families.

I never have had that happen.

We get together with friends to grill out or just dinner. I hope they'll use me when the time comes but, that isn't my motive. I don't invite potential clients over or clients in general unless they're friends. I do other things outside of my home with clients such as coffee, lunch, or events.

I have definitely had friends over for a BBQ, but never with the intent of trying to get business. It's because they're fun to be with.

No direct intention to mix business and grilling. Can't say it has not happened but not a conversation I initiated.

That is one statistic I do not keep.

I do not socialize or entertain with people with the expectation of them becoming clients. 

Go to different bbqs or parties until someone finds the best cook and go with him?

That is a two part question of intention.

Part one: 2 or 3 times monthly

Part two: NEVER

I do know human behavior is about avoiding shame. Part one is essential.

When I am the guest, I actully expect the host may have alterior motives. That's ok. I don't mind hearing what they are engaged in and the extent to which they invest their personal resources.

From such observation, that they are willing to do this for whole-sale club discounts and free membership, imagine what they may do if they talk to someone of vision?

I try not to mix business and pleasure. But i am ALWAYS listening for those speaking about buying or selling where i can remind them what i do. 

We have been so lucky to have clients turn into friends and have them over all winter & spring to BBQ (we live in the desert, not much outside during the summer)  But....I don't invite any clients over unless we become friends and never discuss real estate unless they bring it up, which they always do.  

I grill often, but generally just for family.
