If the organizers need help they usually ask. It's all well planned and executed.

For me it will be #4. My husband will still be in hospital on July 4th recovering from back surgery.

I don't know who cleans up after the fireworks but, I'm sure the towns have it covered as we don't see remnants after. If I did, I'd pick it up.

For me it's #3. 

Where I live the sponsors clean up. Never been asked to.

5. I will enjoy the sponsored fireworks put on under controlled supervision. The sponsorship pays for the clean-up too! I have the best of both worlds!

I don't see the mess here. The last several 4th of July Fireworks Shows I've gone to were professional fireworks shows in NY. They do it over a golf course & I can guarantee you it is pristine after. I also like to do my own fireworks in my driveway which gets cleaned up the next morning when everythings stopped smoking. 

I do not like fireworks!  That statement is actually too softly stated.  The scare pets and wild animals. It's a total waste of money that could be well spent on more needed and necessary things. My neighbors set them off and it sounds like a military war zone for several hours. Police can only deal with the emergencies created by the use us illegal fireworks. 

We might actually go see fireworks this year (we don't usually). If they needed help, I'd help cleanup. That being said, I think the village has it covered.

We will watch the fireworks on TV.

I'll watch from a distance. In Miami, enjoyed seeing fireworks over Biscayne Baye; pretty.

The only fireworks mess on the beach around here are from the tourists who set off fireworks illegally. With them i am more worried about my house burning down than about any mess.

5. My dogs and I will all be signing the petition to get them to stop wasting our taxes on these things that accomplish very little other than traumatizing pets and wildlife.

I watch sponsored fireworks shows for the most part. We have neighbors that light off some fireworks in the neighborhood (which always scares the dogs that are around). When walking in my neighborhood, I don't mind picking up a few spent fireworks that may have been missed. They are usually really good about cleaning up after lighting them off. 

County crews take care of all that in my area

5.  My neighborhood doesn't leave trash behind.  We all watch from one of our local streets, which is right across from where they shoot off the fireworks.  Many watch from their cars.  If it gets packed in, it gets packed out.  Parents are really good about that here.

We have our local butte burn every year (where they set off the fireworks); it is a state park and they close it off for the 4th and the fire department stands by as the fireworks are set off the top.

No fireworks allowed. However they will start another big fire somewhere.

The sound of real "war" is so intimidating and over-whelming causing trauma, sense deprivation, inner/outer shock and permanent injury. The idea of replicating that experience remains controversial if explored. I remember many times hearing the 4th of July BOOM and having felt it's raw affect. Living in a wildlife corridor also allows me to see the effect it has on wildlife who run in every direction crazed and wihtout reason

They do make quite a mess.

Where I will spend the 4th, in the foothills of the California Gold Country, there will be no fireworks lest the resulting wildfire causes destruction and death.

July 5th I'll be on the beach hiking.
