My first thought was She chose Life! She taught me the value of hardwork and honesty and that before I could love anyone I had to Love myelf.

Now that's a loaded question. She was always a tempering influence on my Dad's poor moods

My mom taught me by example that you can have more than one career in life, takes risks and be bold in business. My mom was a true entrepreneur.

All the lessons she taught me. They stay with me long after she left this world. 

She's now in her 91st year and still as unflappable as anyone I've ever met.  Nothing stresses her and she takes life one day at a time.  She compares herself to no one and has been always held in the highest esteem by all who've met her.  She married at 19, had 7 children in 10 years and worked as a Social Worker for The Children's Aid Society for many decades.  She and my Father were sweethearts til the day he died and were each others best friend.  She leads by example to this very day and I'm  honoured to be her only daughter and to share our home with her.  Tomorrow will be a very special day but isn't every day?

Since my Mom died 60 years ago when I was 7 I actually know very little about her.  What I like most is the pictures I have of her and my Dad. 

She wanted the responsbility of me...

She chose LIFE!

Everything else is icing on the cake.

Special memories. My mother passed away long ago.

I loved my mother's strength and perseverence and that she put her children first in her life. She's been gone now for 21 years and I miss her still.

My mom has been in the non-physical since 2010.

She was a glamour puss. She loved fashion and jewelry and makeup and was very beautiful. I remember she allowed me to wear fishnet stockings & would curl my hair in corkscrew curls which were very in style in the 60s.

Also my mom was a career first grade teacher, 35 years. I worked as her aide for 1 year while deciding whether I would follow her into education. My mom was a raging bitch to her kids. Sit down, everybody quiet, get out of my lap! Yes they would climb on her and they just loved her even when she was being ill-tempered. At my house there were always two Christmas trees. One for Mrs Ds gifts from her kids and parents.

She was as Virgo as they come. Perfectionist, but so loving. I married a man with the same birthday as my mom. LOL each used to say the other one was crazy but they were thick as thieves. 💘

Happy Mother's Day. I love my mom for the strong women she is.  

what I like best about my soon to be 97 year old mother is that I still have her and can visit with her.... tomorrow I'll color with her...

Italian Moms think that all problems in life can be solved by food. As a young Marine in Vietnam, my Mom sent me some cookies she baked. By the time I got them they were crushed, but the letter inside the box said," I know you and your "friends" may get excited, so tell them to "Relax" and have a cookie."Mom passed many years ago, and I am 72 years old, but when ever someone gets upset I tell them to "Relax and have a cookie." The most kindest person I ever knew. MOM.....

I liked her unconditional love for me. I always felt like she had my back no matter what.

My mom is gone. I miss her...not just on Mothers Day.
