Well, not outside, but I always ring the doorbell and knock even when I have an appointment to show a listing.  One time when I opened the door, a fairly wet guy, wearing only a towel, was standing at the top of the stairs. His wife forgot to tell him we had a showing appointment. Oops. 

By the way, that big, handsome kitty makes that dumpster look good.

I happened to spot a new large stuffed animal snake in a dumpster and couldn't believe someone threw this away yet I had no use for it. I took it and started looking for someone I could give it too. I spotted mom & dad with a little girl walking downtown and pulled over. I asked the surprised parents if I could make a present to their little girl NO STRINGS ATTACHED. They agreed but couldn't fathom what was going on. I then open my rear car-door hatch and remove this huge stuffed colorful snake and hand it to the little girl who turned into one big smile ear to ear. It was a love-fest leaving us all speechless....The four of us strangers share this thought to this day...

I'd rather be greeted by that tiger than the visitor I had at a showing once. Awhile back I was showing a property & while we were upstairs we heard banging on the door downstairs. A little scary. Then someone yelled up that it was the police. The sherriff was there to evict the owner & we just happened to be there.
