I post in advance and schedule - typically just because the mornings & afternoons are quite busy and it's better than posting them at midnight when I get it written!

That had not been a concern of mine when I did blog posting many years ago. My concern nowadays, is to make sure scheduled payments to third party Facebook ad and direct mail providers are paid to keep my pipeline full (non real estate business).

Normally, I schedule a reblog for 4 a.m. local time, a blog for 6 a.m. and a blog for 4 p.m.

I try to avoid certain days and times when the bloggers that post 30 posts about how many homes sold in each zip code last week generate their posts.

Other than that I may schedule if I know I am going to be busy or sleeping in that day.

I only schedule a posting when it is timed to the event I am blogging about.  For example, a reminder about a blood drive is posted 2 days before the blood drive.  Otherwise, I post when I write it.

Study your analytics... if you are seeing a spike if you post at this set time, there's your answer. But the creativity peaks and valleys depending on the other balls you juggle in the list, twist and sell. Pearl Harbor happens on a Sunday morning when some were nursing hang overs, thinking of heading to church. Yo8u might try the posting at the times when 80 percent of folks are off the clock. Less new material to scan means the SE bots give you more attention because less fodder on the conveyor belt to sort, slice and dice Dave Martin (703) 585-4687 ! As for video, 10 to 10:30 AT NIGHT is when the needle pegs and bends hard right on the meters for our little operation.

I don't trust the scheduler, it's had too many issues.  When I have scheduled, it was because I was out of town for my regular Thursday posts.


There is some logic to scheduling posts for days and times when your audience is more likely to be listening.  I don't worry about it though.  I just get it out there when I can.

Mon & Tues seem to be days that people hang out here or at least they used to.

I do not use the scheduler as it never worked right. Other sites I use Hootsuite or Friends+Me.

I schedule almost all of my posts.  I write in spurts, sometimes doing 3 - 5 in one day. I have several theme days, so when I write something I know what day it should post and scheduling works great for me.  I schedule them for early morning Pacific time so the Eastern time zone people who read with their coffee each morning catch them.

Depends on the content of the post and the topic of the blog.

For community news which often includes weekend events, posting Saturday evening is not beneficial.

Then knowing your audience becomes important. Are they 1st of the day readers or after work readers? Your analytics will prove helpful.

Then respond accordingly. Ahhhh, but be certain to continue to validate the decision with continuing analysis.

Based on the above measures I find having material published to be available on Thursday eve or Monday morning to be optimal for my purposes.

If you are referring to the AR blog post scheduler, I've been burned too many times to trust that bell. I write near the time of publishing, save, then manually publish.
