Sometimes I find the need to Google the online version of our local/regional paper to check out a story. Otherwise, I love that we still HAVE newspapers but I don't like newsprint on my hands or clothes. LOL

I do not read newspapers... the bias in them makes me nuts. I've been on strike against my hometown paper, The NY Times, for years.

 Unfortunately I came to this conclusion that I no longer read my newspaper because the news was always a day late. I tried to go just to the weekends however I felt it was a waste of resources.

So I went online to cancel the newspaper and found they made it almost impossible to do so. 

 I finally sat on hold for 20 minutes and then was asked the same question over and over.  I felt I was at a timeshare meeting. 

I was blamed for putting my delivery man out of work and making my community I worse place to live. As my temper rose I just told them to quit my subscription.

I am very selective about my news sources.  I mainly take the local newspaper so I can read the obits.

Infowars.com is my main source, albeit taken with a grain or two of salt.  Though they were the only ones covering the yellow vest protestors in France for over a month... at least out here. 

 

I also have a currated news feed from the Sheriff's Department, but that feed will be shutting down soon.

I do read the local paper online most days, in print some days, but I get most of my news from TV and the web. The newspaper is good for local happenings, but it is typically behind national and internation news.

I still have the local paper delivered daily but most of the national and world news is in the online version which is free with our print subscription.

A couple years ago I tried to change our subscription and cancel USA Today and got nowhere. Finally I emailed the Executive Editor and he had it done within 24 hours which was great.
