1. We've had the Slydial conversation before. A couple of people need to be Slydialed. Never as a sales pitch though.

I think my biggest pet peeve is agents who don't want to communicate during a transaction - they don't take or return calls, answer emails or respond to texts. 

I'm always on a mission to see how they WILL respond - perhaps carrier pigeon?!

You have some valid pet peeves. I've worked hard over the past 27 years to have a good relationship  with agents and reputation  and its been worth the effort!

You have a good top 3, and I would certainly agree with those.  I think in general my peeve is lack of professionalism amongst each other.  We are all in the trenches grinding it out.  Can't we treat each other a little kinder and nicer?

Too many to categorize. I prefer to focus on the positive aspects of the industry.

1. Be on time

2. Answer your phone

3. Return phone calls within a reasonable time.

I'm with Roy Kelley .. especially on public facing when other agents, buyers, sellers are in the cross hairs. Stay positive.

I’m trying to focus only on the positives and not the negatives. 

No peeves, but we do have a few pets around here.

Unresponsive Agents, Unreasonable Buyer/Sellers, unprofessional people in all areas of the profession. 

3 industry pet peeves. My assumption is the intent is about real estate and not marketing technology. Slydial, spam, Zdevil, are not the industry.

What is industry is:

1. Agents able to avoid accountability by hiring surrogate evil doers. That would be aimed at any and all agents who pay Zdevil.

2. Brokers who do not fulfill their responsibilities. Brokers should post a rating reflecting the nature of their business. (sanctuary, kindergarten, playground, professional, collaborative) Most certainly those who renege on their last remaining responsibility and charge the agent for cutting a commission check.

3. Pervasive deception. "List your home with us for 0%!"

BONUS PEEVE

4. Agents who sing "I'm so pretty. Oh so pretty." in the mirror every morning.

John Meussner I love your 3 pet peeves.... no one could trump those....especially the builder incentive.... when a builder has a construction loan with a bank and directs the buyer there, he is able to exhale.... the bank is very lenient with the builder .... the pressure is off... the appraisal is questionable.... the bank will close as long as there's a C.O. in hand.... that doesn't mean the home is finished!!!  you can get that without flooring in!!

Too many agents. Too few brokers who limit the numbers. Repeat number one.

2) they should make this illegal. Buyers should be able to find their lender who works for them. 

I'm just tired of people that don't know what they are doing. It's just the way it is. I must just keep going.

Taking the time to come up with a list and writing it down here will not change anything.

On any given day the top three will rotate.  Slydial will always be at something I do not like and I lose respect for those who use it. For whatever reason they justify ... it is their ego leading the way.

3. The "what not to do" is practiced more than the "to do"...it's backwards

I think our real estate life was charmed.  We worked with consummate professionals...no pet peeves.  We have learned that the more you focus on stuff you don't like, the more you attract that to justify your opinion...so we simply don't.  A

Buyers that just plain waste our time, and will never buy.

Agree with you on the slimy lenders our buyers HAVE to use when purchasing new construction.   Usually my fav lender can match!

I think most agents I work with are good, want to make the deal work & do their job. If I had to shine a spotlight on the darkside I'd say major pet peeves would include-

Bringing me an offer on my listing from a Buyer I showed the house to. 

Asking me questions you know I can't answer. ie. "How much will they take for it?"  

Agents who want the purchase agreement back signed ASAP & as soon as they get it don't uphold the terms of the contract.
