Oh and attending to the dog.
Her morning routine is to sweetly ask to go out to pee. Promising to be quiet. Then as soon as she goes out she bellows "GM bitches Luna in the queendom!"
Then inside for a cookie. LOL it does not suck to be her

My office is 32 feet from my home so easy to literally physically access where all the corresponding files are. But get up, brew some coffee, check the news over night, check gmail account, tap into AR and first thing when all bright eyed and bushy tailed open up the email for business at office. Email is check through the day.

Checking emails is the first thing i do. I scan through and pick out any that are important, i mark and delete the spam. Doing it now saves me from having to do it later.

Back when I kept my phone on my nightstand, I would do that first thing before getting out of bed.  Now I power off my phone and put it in the closet to make darn sure I don't get the urge to Google something at 1am.

 

Now I check emails usually within 30-45 minutes of waking up.
