I'm not aware of FF having email capability.  Are you referring to Thunderbird perhaps?  Sometimes I'll get that error but it goes away the next time.  I just hit F5 and it rechecks.

First, double check if your password has not been changed for that account. Use the hosting provider backend to check.

Do you use Firefox to connect to a web address like webmail.copybymarte.com or mail.copybymarte.com to get your email?

If this is the case, I would contact your hosting provider - Siteground

Do you use a mail program like Windows Live Mail?

If so, I would also contact the hosting provider.

I rarely use Firefox Marte Cliff but I do use it so I'm eager to see others replys.

have you tried to connect via a web browser?

I once had this problem with Thunderbird. I ended up having to download all messages in another application. Then I deleted my Thunderbird and re-installed. This fixed it, but it is an extreme fix.

Sounds like your internet connection not getting along with their server. My MLS does not get along with FF so I rarely use it.

I use it because Active Rain does not do well with Safari which is our primary search engine.  It started acting weird, so I switched only from AR.  I don't know why you would be receiving emails from Firefox.  They are not an email exchange,as far as I know!  A

I had that with my Verizon.net email account recently. (which is serviced by AOL mail) It seems to have corrected itself so I think it was probably Verizon

And I thought you meant the Air Force Demonstration flying unit.

I used to use this but after a while it became slow and unstable so went back to outlook.

Oh and I thought you meant the Thunderbird vehicle.  My husband had one many years ago.

This is very odd, Marte... but to be honest can't remember the last time I actually used Firefox. Hopefully someone here will have an answer.

I am no techie. If the computer is on and reponds fine. If not, I call my IT guy! He gets some good laughs!

I stopped using Thunderbird few years ago for the same issue, emails simply did not go through. I used to like it a lot though. 

I was thinking "the air plane thunderbirds" "the car" and then realized I was wrong on both counts.  My AT&T email has done that before.  I just chaulk it up to "they" had a problem and once it's resolved it generally doesn't happen again for some time.

It sounds like there was a temporary hiccup at the server level when the emails were being forwarded or downloaded.

I don't use Thunderbird but, when you said that the connection timed out, that would suggest it may be that your internet connection is slow.

It may be something as simple as you just need to reboot your computer.
