Recording at County Courthouses is governed by Florida Statutes. I don't think Florida Law allows for blockchain... yet.

our closings are handled by attorneys, not title companies.... the banks require title insurance and it's always recommended that the buyer purchase a title insurance policy...one time payment.... that's as much as I'm familiar with....

I live in rural Georgia, no one has tried. I do know someone who traded cows for a house before though.

Not something I am concerned with, we leave such matters to the title companies.

I have no idea... issue has not come up. I'd consult with a real estate attorney.

I do not know. I will cross that bridge if I encounter a blockchain sale.

I would imagine it would have to be notarized. All deeds in CA related to real estate must now include a thumbprint at time of Acknowledgment.

We do not have this in Oregon - at least I haven't heard of this yet.

Not a clue Peter Mark but if the title company were open on Sundays I'd call them and get an answer for you.

I think applications provided by blockchain will some day be normal and nationwide. At the moment? No.

Have used block and tackle to get a stuck in the mud real estate sale up and moving toward the closing. No blockchain sales yet with bitcoin. Have done trading properties (usually land), 1031 exchanges and had one pacifist couple not wanting to generate taxes for Uncle Sam from the sale perform some abracadabra hocus pocus fine print legal maneuvers in a transfer. Avoiding taxes that they said only helped finance the war machine.

I personally did not have such buyer, but it is not an issue in L.A. As long as both principals agree on the price, we will make it happen.

Not in NH, closings can be conducted by an attorney or title company, the title or cosing company must be managed by a NH lawyer though. Recording is done by them upon closing

Not in my little piece of Florida.
When other states and tax authorities realize they can keep all the tax dollars and provide full service PASSIVELY via block chain, their greed will drive the change. Just like their GREED led the charge for all those red light camera companies creating PASSIVE income for cities.
In regards to this industry, the closing statements were the shot across the bow..."It is better to disrupt yourself than to be disrupted."
And of course we all know Rupert Murdock has been investing heavily in block chain. I doubt he does it for entertainment. With holding like Berkshire Hathaway and Realtor.com there just might be a strategy in play.
