We may not ever really know.  From what I've read it appears the shooter did know the agent.  Why the shooter wanted the agent dead ... is a mystery.

      The lockbox on the hood of the SUV - did the cops place that there, or did the late Realtor, Orlando Martinez, set it on the hood?

Jeff Pearl All one has to do to pick a "bad" neighborhood in Philadelphia these days is to throw a dart at the map.

According to the Philadelphia PD, there were 2 murders, 6 rapes, 47 robberies, 63 aggravated assaults, 66 burglaries, and 386 thefts in THIS NEIGHBORHOOD - IN THE LAST 6 MONTHS!

This is NOT a good neighborhood.

Agents who don't exercise extreme cautiion, including carrying a firearm are simply asking to become victims.

That's terrible.

I did have questions when reading the news report. Supposedly he was meeting buyers. Did they show up? Did they already see the house? I'd start by questioning them.

Had not heard; always tragic. Let's always be aware of our surroundings and check in before and after appointments. It sounds like if someone know where he was headed he could have survived as the story says he was "clinging to life" after he "may have been in his car all day".

Here is a Safety Tip - Since my wife and I both travel around town for business, we use the "Find Friends" app, which will show the location of the person you are connected with. If this persons family cound not find him the app would have led them to him.
