It depends---who is administering the exam? Is this given in my state? Why do you ask?

I took my first state real estate exam in 1993 and the room was filled with hundreds of applicants.  The multiple test questions were the same ones I saw on my many tests. I finished the exam and decided to re-check my answers once again . I handed in the exam first and later found out I passed. I studied the information.

I took practice tests. I knew the material.  It doesn't take a genius---just some simple study habits--

I passed both the licensee and broker exams on the first try. I did the licensee exam because I wanted to and did excellen. I did the broker out of competitiveness, because a GRI classmate was started the broker exam. I made up my mind that class I would do the same, went home that night and plowed through nine chapters. finished the classes in a couple days, had to wait 30 to sit for the exam. I did not perform as well on the broker exam as I did on the licensee because of factors influencing testing centers and winter weather, but I was still successful.

I am not aware of any State exam being easy Don Burns . I passed my Real Estate and my Brokers exam the first time I took each of them but I studied my brains out both times. To answer your question I would, as I have proven , kick ass on the test given proper study materials and adequate time to study.

If I have to take a broker exam I will not be able to pass it. Most questions were made up in the 1960-70s and they really had nothing to do with today real estate practice. If you advertise a home for sale in a defunt newsper for $25K blah blah blah....

The 'real life' exam ?? or the exam?

I'd do great on the real life one, probably 60+% because of the stupid math on the real one.
