I have 2 - the easiest one is MS  Windows Movie Maker - very easy to use.

I also have Pinnacle Studio - much more advanced and a more professional style  software

Movie maker, is free however!

Joan Cox There are a number of free video editing software programs.

As Thomas J. Nelson, Realtor, ePRO, CRS, RCS-D mentioned, there's Windows Movie Maker for a Windows based computer.

And, there's iMovie which comes with every Apple computer.

Depending on your level of skill and the effects you're trying to achieve, there are also several excellent professional level video editors, including Adobe's Premier Pro that you can lease from the Adobe Creative Cloud or Apple's Final Cut Pro - for both Windows and Apply computers - that you buy at Apple's App Store.

There are many aspects not known.

Is this simply a slide show parading as a video? CUT/CHOP edits are easy and can be done by any rudimentary video edit program.  However.....

Are there any special effects that you want to keep? 

VOICE OVER?

Synchronized sound track.

Green screen?

Interactive elements?

The complexity of the video dictates whether you can chop with any edit tool or must  use the original program. Programs that explode a video to accessible elements are not free.
