I'm so happy to hear you'll be blogging regularly again, Hella! Isn't it funny the things that spark us to return to something that we loved so much in the past? 

It's never drudgery - it's my therapy! 

I get it Hella... I haven't posted in three days, which is very unusual for me... but the idea of writing about anything seems very ho-hum to me right now. And I'm tired of being frustrated with formatting and lack of speed here in the Rain; in all the years I've blogged here with localism posts and market reports I've never had a single contact from a prospective buyer or seller. I'm watching traffic on my posts and they don't get the traffic they did a few years ago... it must be a google juice issue for AR. So not much incentive right now and wondering if my time would be spent better in other pursuits.

It has been a LONG time since I blogged here for anything other than listing blogs.  Interestingly enough, this is a similar conversation to one I started this morning with someone else.

I got burnt out on market blogs last year and every once in a while I'll do one, but even though it takes only 30 minutes to do all 8 of them, I find myself very disinterested in doing them and they seldom last more than a week.

When I do have a topic I am burning to write about, I usually knock it out straight away, like the searching AR or the spam/tiny URL ones I've written.  The "muse" just has not struck in quite some time.

In the past, I blogged everyday. In the Fall of last year, it was a few less and I haven't posted this year. I may return.  I may not Good luck to you. 

We all need to be coached, encouraged & motivated time & again. Go with it

Yes I just posed a Q today on AR Peeps in FB. I seem to be stuck most days when I'm supposed to write a post. Glad you have your mo-jo back.

I could use an uplifting message.

I don't usually write under a "have to" attitude.  If the muse just isn't there and it's best if I just keep quiet.  I actually stopped writing completely for a few years after my husband died.  I thought my muse was gone forever but it seems to be coming back.

99.9% of the time I blog because I really want to Hella M. Rothwell, Broker/Realtor® but occassionally, very rarely, I force myself to post.

If I am in the right mental state to write something worth reading, it works well....if not, I won't write anything....

Great subject Hella! Most days, I am raring to go and can think of subjects in which to write. Had a crazy, busy week so didn't post all weekend until today. Like you, mine was uplifting!

It really depends - drudgery? Not really, sometimes I'm just too busy with customers and can't get to it - fortunately, I can always count on my web guy to pull me through

For the most part, I do not feel drudge. I see writing content as part of what I do ... I do feel good when I get a post completed and published.

Rothwell, Broker/Realtor® - I know it always feels good when I Blog, too.  Missing your 'blogging time here' is great, because that means you will be back!!  I do it so seldom, though do not think of it as drudgery (that would be 'no fun'!).  For me, it's more of, 'do I have anything worthwhile to share', and my answer can be 'no'.  Well, I need to re-think this!  So glad you are back to Blogging - YEA, You!

Blogging a drudgery? For the most part, YES. Here on AR a blog comes with a commitment towards care and feeding that has plaged the sight for years.

Hi Hella - so glad to see you back.  NO, it's never drudgery, I find it therapeutic. But there are times I seem to be less inspired than others.

Glad to hear you are back, and wanted to write.  There are days, there is no time, and I just skip it.   If you have business to tend to, that should be a priority.  

I only post when I'm inspired to, it's always for fun.

It's different on different days.  Sometimes I love what I write and sometimes I feel like I'm missing out on family time because work is so busy, that's been this year.

Writing is like any other habit. The more you incorporate it into your daily life, the better and easier it gets.  Kind of like going to the gym, first time is brutal, subsequent visits get easier.  I think after 18 consistent repetitions something becomes a habit.
