It was like yesterday. 

All of us were shocked, scared...

Sad day.

That day will be forever in the memory of the American people...

As a New Yorker, it's hard to watch.  

I remember it happening.

I was surprised how little coverage 911 got too. I worked across from the Towers for 2 years. I used to go out for Happy Hour in the awesome lower level of the Towers & I was in the farthest Tower (#6) during the 1st attack on them (the garage bomb). I won't forget that date or that we are still a target for the Terrorists. It's best, as a country , if we remember 911 & keep our guard up. 

I began seeing it over the weekend and yes, saw some this evening as we watched our local news to learn more about the storm. 

I remember exactly where I was, who I was talking to and worrying myself sick about my husband who was working in Uptown in the International Trade Center at the time, which had been 'reported' as a possible target. They evacuated and when he arrived home, we watched the coverage until the wee hours of the next morning. It was simply heart-wrenching. 

We will NEVER forget and I hope and pray that this is not another part of our history that some try to erase for future generations.

Hi Bob, no I didn't watch it today, but I did watch it on the day it happened. I had just gotten back from NYC a couple of days before it happened. It was horrible then as still is now.

I watched it live, I'll never need a reminder of what I watched in real time; I'll never forget.

Seeing it once was enough for me Bob "RealMan" Timm - I do not need to be reminded.  As for what future generations will be told ... it's up to them to discover the truth from lies and political propaganda.

I did not see it the day it happened. I was in college and did not own a television. I was asleep and my roommate ran in and told me what was happening but we had nothing to watch it on. I didn't see it today because we don't have cable and almost never watch local television. -K

Yes, On TV.

It was and is a remarkable attack alerting us to our vulnerability. To use our own planes as missiles of destruction never occurred to anyone.....

Reminds me of the Pacific fleet in Pearl harbor all lined up and moored one to another. One bombing run took out all the ships

On that day 17 years ago I was standing in my living room watching. Our 2nd son called from college and asked what is going on and what should I do? I told him our country is under attack and he should stop what he was doing and pray. Today he is one who protects.

On that day Americans lost their innocence. The proverbial *bite* was taken out of the Big Apple. What came from it was a bonding together. Regardless of our differences or political leanings, we were all AMERICANS. There were no hyphenated Americans just AMERICANS. 

Yes, I did. Fox News has a video every year that they air that covers the event from the minute of the first hit, the second hit, etc. I cry every year when I see this.

I will never forget that day and hope each generation is reminded what it was like to be attacked on our soil. My granddaughter was 5 when it happened. She is now living and working in the financial district and is now acutely aware of what happened.

That thought has crossed my mind, too, Bob "RealMan" Timm.  That one day, someone will try and say '911' never happened.  That would break my heart, just like hearing the Holocaust never happened.  It's like, 'Deny history and we will repeat it'.  I will always remember . . .   I had just moved to CT, and we were glued to the TV in the Break Room where I worked.  I was so nervous about our family in CA, wondering 'what was next', for them.  I remember my boss saying that he and others might have to go to NYC to identify bodies, so it was very, very real for me.

    I was at my sister's house yesterday, they had the TV on all day tuned to MSNBC or CNN news.   It isn't just "Fake News", it is anti-American news.  The people behind those networks don't want us to remember.

I did & I think that yes it should be remembered. There was an interesting story where the people in NY at the 9-11 Memorial are so tired of seeing people take smiling selfies on the site. No respect for what happened.

I saw the one tower collapse in real time on TV in 2001. I have seen the video many times, and it pains me horribly every time. I did not watch anything today but did some reading, reflecting, and watched some of the memorials.

I did on the History channel but NOT on any nightly news who cared more about politcial bashing than anything else

The Towers coming down is burned in my mind! 

I was driving to our brokerage sales meeting, received the news on the radio.

I didn't see the fall but they did play the planes crashing in - 4 generations? How about the current 2 that seem to have forgotten and just want to re-write ALL our history!!!!

Many things are etched into my brain. What happens generations from now is not my concern although its savagery should be taught, exclaimed & relived as long as this Country exists. Our history is important to know in it's Glory and Defeat. That day we were defeated for a moment!

I saw a lot of tributes to 9/11 yesterday. They were very heartfelt and important. I also toured the 9/11 museum in New York last November and it was truly a powerful and emotional experience - something every American should see if at all possible.

I really can't watch them coming down.  Much too painful.

I was on the road yesterday so didn't see any of the coverage, but remember being glued to the TV for days after 9/11. 

Didnt notice, just getting home from a long day and have not been near a tv.

I would never watch it after the original event.

That was a horrific day that will never be forgotten.

I was in Canada and saw footage there.

Sadly we are trying to hide the past in many different areas of our past

Didn't see any come down in the news... Did watch them come down when it happened... and won't forget.  I'm not sure they have to show the actual towers coming down and people jumping to escape the flames... Personally, I think that history books can keep it in peoples minds... you don't have to show the graphic images to remind.

I did.  My husband keeps a rememberance of it on his facebook page all the time.  I come from a military family and Donald served. My family will never forget.

I did not need to see the visual. Having seen it on TV while it was occurring, I will never forget it.
