Put the patio furniture in the pool. Secure the grill in a corner. Signs and bird feeders go inside.  Fill the tub(s) with water. Flip the breakers on all things except the life support.  If they have shields and have paid to have them installed, I will get that done also.

Get more fuel for the chain saw and generator. Park one car in the mall parking lot.

I call all of my current listing to see if they need help.

I'd help however I could but at my house I'd be securing anything loose outside, putting away what I can inside, picking up extra Gas & Batteries, laying out some candles & flashlights, rolling my Generator out to the front of the garage & making sure gutters & drains are clear of any debris.

With a hurricane this big, if you are on the coast, you need a professional to be boarding windows. In low areas bring furniture upstairs. It is beyond just putting th eoutside stuff away.

Actually, we are getting hit by a downgraded hurricane tonight.  It's actually a tropical storm with up to 70 mph top speed winds, more like 50 mph. You know I just God, say a prayer and hang on being that we are on an island. So far seems to work. We have never had a direct hot on Maui because of 10,000 ft volcano.

Watching the impending storm coverage makes me so happy I live near Lake Erie. I would rather deal with snow than hurricanes, tornadoes, or earthquakes. That said I am praying for all who will be impacted by the storm.

I suspect I'd contact the sellers and make sure they knew about the impending weather so they could take care of making whatever arrangements they needed to. I'd also put my for-sale sign somewhere safe.

Oh, yes.

Most of the owners, when they don't use their condos in our area - put outside furniture inside. That helps a lot during a hurricane season.

Lucky us - we most of our listings - condos and it is much easier to prepare for an impending hurricane. Most of the owners will call condominium association and ask them to enter their condo and do preparation.

That's a very good question.  Since we live in the desert not one I've had to consider. But if I was in that situation I'd for sure have  a team in place of my regular guys to go out and secure all the homes we possibly could - at sellers expense.

Not a problem in my area.  Nothing we can do in anticipation of the odd earthquake or volcanic eruption that might happen that a seller hasn't already hopefully done.
