I'm well aware that Sundae's were invented, right here, in Evanston.  I eat one each and every day in honour of that fact.

I learned that a few weeks ago when I was trying to put an ice cream sundae puzzle together. That was the trivia included with the puzzle.  Very interesting, eh? 

If I have to choose, I prefer gelato. Even better when in Italy!! But our local gelateria in Carlsbad is pretty wonderful!

Passing a law against selling ice cream sodas on Sunday sounds foolish, although apparently in 1890 it seemed OK. In a hundred years from now, what will the next generations think about our ever increasing city ordinances being enacted today?

I love gelato and ice cream.  Gelato is Italy, I am almost sure, but ice cream????

     John Gorrie invented the ice maker.  Just west of here, in Apalachicola, Florida in the 1800's.  His statue is in the United States Capitol.  A few years later, Willis Carrier capitalized on his ideas and invented air conditioning.

    Ice cream?  IDK about that.

We treat ourselves to it often, and I don't care where it cam from just as long as we live near an ice cream store now!
